I LOVE these, massive step up from my HS8's, I've used HS8's since 2007, These are so much more detailed and separation is way better, I feel like I can hear exactly what's going on, where as with the Yamahas, everything was a little bit masking and hazy.

Adam Audio does a great job with these but I still think the NEUMANN KH speakers are just better in every way. good job Thujan

Sorry, but i disagree. I owned both the neumann kh120 and the adam t7v and although the neumann is technically better, it is too clinical so for music listening i liked it less then the t7v.
@N0va3 жыл бұрын
@@woutervdbroek4176 beauty of this hobby is everyone has a different opinion. I owned both and returned the Adam's very fast while the Neumann's have been in use in our studio for the past year.

@vtkz3 жыл бұрын
Neumann is in most of the times better than most of the Hifi Stuff and Studio Speakers. A KH310 and your search for the best, flat frequency response has an end. The Question is, do you want the truth or do you like, that the loudspeakers ,,lie,, so the Sound is more pleasant... i love my KH310

I owned Adam A-7's in the studio for a few years. During a move they spent a few weeks in storage and ended up flood damaged. I bought a temp pair of speakers to hold me over until my insurance paid out ... I bought the M-Audio M3-8 ... Studio mid field 3 way speakers with a Rosewood baffle and 240watts a side built in amplification. Not only am I still using them, I bought a second pair for the studio - an absolute steal at £450 a pair. Best results used in balanced mode. On good stands they can be used as very respectable HiFi speakers.
@aabuahro3 жыл бұрын
A Studio monitor is a good Refrence point for the sound engineer, cause the frequency response is flat, meaning what you hear is what Ull get after the mix. let’s say your making a base line on a regular speaker and this particular speaker is not flat and it’s emphasis the base region, so as a studio engineer you will lower the base line dB ending up with a mix that has no base.

Compared to the fynes with a decent amp? Thanks, Thu-Thu....
@ThujanK3 жыл бұрын
Well the Fynes will need a subwoofer to compete in terms of extension. Won't have the same dynamic headroom (for bigger rooms) unless a highpass filter is utilised in conjunction with a subwoofer. As for tuning, Fynes are sweeter in presentation. They have more depth and wider soundstage (truely holographic). The fynes are also livelier in presentation with a smooth top end. But to be fair the Fyne F500 with a decent subwoofer and amp cost roughly 4x what the Adam Audio T8V require.

Nice, thank you. 😀 But there are two groups of audiofils, one who hount the best reproduction of sound, the others hount they're sound without technical problems. I love coloration as long its transparent and room filling. 😀 Greetings from Berlin. 😁

@adamjj853 жыл бұрын
How do you feel about an additional A/D conversion inside for the use of the DSP on these types of monitors? If you have a good DAC upstream it sort of becomes irrelevant as whatever DAC they are using inside supersedes it.
@adamjj853 жыл бұрын
@hifi sense If there is an active digital crossover then you need to convert from analog to digital to use it, then back to analog when passing to the amp.
@thehottestbeatz3 жыл бұрын
Why only 90 watts? 🤔 these seem nice though, very similar to the hs8s. Yamaha has 120 watts. These have a bigger bass port than the Yamahas so they can reach a little lower. Any chuffing from the port when playing loud? The Class d amps won’t get hot like others. I’m currently debating which ones to get, my top 3 are the new kali in 8 v2 Adam t8v and Yamaha hs8
@ThujanK3 жыл бұрын
No chuffing as mentioned in the video. The power is more than adequate. If you're looking at sheer volume these speakers can hit 118db peaks from their measurements. For anyone in a small to medium size room it has plenty of headroom (volume/Power wise).
@thehottestbeatz3 жыл бұрын
@@ThujanK a max spl of 118 is really good, I was worried about these having some port noise when playing at louder volumes. But the rear port is bigger than most other brands out there so I don’t think chuffing/turbulence would be much of an issue. Still not sure which ones I want to go with between the hs8, kali in-8 v2 and these Adam t8vs. All three seem really great but I need something that has a high spl and no noise from the ports.
