This is a small review of a small Chinese made self centering vise I got from eBay. They are mostly sold as EDM vises and can be used with system 3r and erowa zero point systems.
For the price of about 100 € they are of very good quality with a few small flaws.

Thank you for commenting. Very nice to see manufacturers care for the feedback. If you want to chat just email me. I would be interested to sell them in Germany and Europe.

How much jaw lift do you get with them? Is there any mechanism trying to pull them down? Angle V or whatever?

If using then in a 4th axis machine then you only would use it for a 1st operation. Jaw lift wouldn't matter then.

It would be nice if these had more of a dovetail in the jaws, you can still use them normally but if you prep your stock with a matching dovetail it will hold nice. You can buy even smaller but US made dovetail vises that are intended for 5 axis multi part fixturing but no one is stopping you from 3 axis milling with them and they aren't all that expensive, or just make them yourself. This also allows you to hold much larger stock, by milling a dovetail in the material you only grab that small part and the rest of the material hangs over the vise

They bite in quite a bit in aluminum. Seems plenty good for the small parts they are meant for.

This is the same s lang. You tighten them up and they indent the work as they tighten. It actually means you don't need to faff around milling a dovetail to hold your work, you put it in and crank it shut and press the green button.

@@brianwaayenberg3099 The heavy cutting style mentioned in the video is also acceptable, and it is not recommended to use this style if there are steel parts. We are manufacturers.

@@Xindian-precision thank you for the reply, i have purchased one a few month back now but not had the chance to use it yet. it certianky bites the material nicely. For those wondering about grip and longevity, if you grip hard it is solid and bites aluminum nicely. if you are worried about screw wear simply buy 2, use one outside the machine to grip/dent the material then transfer the material to the vice in the machine thats not pre dented. kinda like a cheap lang hyd grip system :) for 1st op work this is a good litle vice

@@brianwaayenberg3099 Thank you, but I don't know where you purchased it. We have many styles, including Lang brand and the same model, with the same quality and different prices.😄
