Thank you for this fun video! I have the Journey of love oracle by Alana Fairchild, published at Blue Angel that is also illustrated by Rassouli. It looks very similar to the Hero’s journey, but I think the Hero’s keywords are more eloquent, whereas with the Journey of love, I need to consult the guide book a lot. But the cards are stunning. I also have the Wisdom of the oracle and I have to say, I am a bit creeped out by the faces illustrated on each of the cards… I almost never use it because of that.

Love, love, love my Wisdom of the Oracle deck. It seems frilly at first but the messages are ALWAYS spot on. The book is amazing. I use it often as a theme for the spread or as a finisher to provide advice on moving forward, NEVER disappoints. Thanks for showing me all these. I've added several to my wish list & have bought a few because I NEED them NOW ~ *LOL* It's fun 'shopping' with you. Makes my decisions easier based on your in depth explanations of everything from card stock to size to key words. THANKS!!!

I just came across the Tao Oracle a few weeks ago. The first edition brand new still sealed at a yard sale $5 I have found it to be a very powerful deck and everything you said about is so true.

Thankfully I only really loved one of these decks, and I have it! Got animal kin from chapters in Canada a few months back it was the only copy in and around my city, and I love it it a different box though but it’s great even has geckos which was huge for me as I have 2! Thank you for once not making me run out for a new deck lol

About the Hero's Journey... Blue Angel published a matte version of it. The backs are like the cover of the box and book and the cardstock is thicker. I have small hands so it's imposibble to ruffle shuffle for me. On Amazon, when you click on the produ t they give you two versions: cards and paperback. The cards version is Llewellyn, which I assume is theone you have. The paperback version is the Blue Angel, the one I have.

Amazon recommended it to me based off of my search history, and I figured why not.... I’m so glad I ordered it. I have 3 of the decks you mentioned. I love the wisdom of the oracle deck and enchanted map. I even bought the borderless enchanted map edition hayhouse put out. I haven't worked with my mermaid deck much but I tend to use my mermaid decks in the summer so I have plans for it in June 😁

Some of my favorite Tarot and Oracle decks are Mass Market. In fact, I think the majority of my favorites are. There are just so many excellent MM decks. Messages From the Mermaids is lovely. I heard about that one through you and agree that it's great. 😊

Great video, and great decks. I've had The Hero's Journey on my wish list for a long time, and was interested in the Tao Oracle - now it's on my wish list. :) My go to decks are the Soul Card decks - 1 and 2. They will always be my favourites. But I have many oracle decks that I enjoy, most recently Denise Linn's decks. I love them all, so far. The majority of my decks are mass market, but I also have some indy decks. Honestly, I don't find one better than the other. I've come across some horrid mass market decks, and some horrid indy decks, so just because they are indy doesn't mean they are better. There are beautiful decks to be found in both cases. I do have to say that, aside from the Soul Cards, two of my most beloved decks happen to be indy ones, and from the moment I came across them they spoke to my soul. They are both by Terri Foss - The Earthly Souls & Spirits Oracle, and The Moon Goddess Affirmation Cards. They're incredible. Thanks for another great video. OH! I almost forgot - I just got a new mass market deck - Believe in Your Own Magic by Amanda Lovelace. I love it - great messages, body and cultural diversity, although a very female-oriented deck, which is good for me, but may not suit everyone.

Loved this! More decks to add to my wish list! Lol. Most of my collection is made up of mass market decks, and they work every bit as wonderfully for me as their more expensive counterparts. For me, it's all about if the deck resonates with me or not, not about the price or availability of the deck.

Really enjoyed this video, love having mass market recommendations. I really like my Enchanted Map Oracle and have been so tempted to try the Wisdom of the Oracle but I'm pretty conflicted about whether I need both! The Tao Oracle looks really amazing, I could see really enjoying that one too.

I think you could do a vid on mass market affirmation/hug decks next! (So many good ones, just came across "Thera-pets" today and could hardly stand the cuteness -and for only $16!) Animal Kin keeps going back onto my wishlist because of those borders (and the affordable price, of course), and now I can't decide if I want "Sufi Wisdom" or "Hero's Journey" from Rassouli!

You're using the wrong I Ching books - try 'The Everyday I Ching' by Sarah Dening and 'The Essential I Ching' by Kari Hohne. Clear answers both and much better than any I Ching deck.

oh these all seem so good, thank you Lisa! now my wishlist grew even more than it needed to haha. i feel like the only deck i knew about was the wisdom of the oracle and i kept adding and taking it off my wishlist on and off because i can't tell if i vibe with the artwork enough or not (especially because of the borders.. maybe i'll learn to modify decks for cases like this). hearing it has such a good guidebook though, it's back on my wishlist again now. (also help i was curious if hayhouse shipping might be affordable for my country and it got stuck on the loading symbol ever since i input it... all around me are familiar faces

Aw man, yeah I'm not sure how ordering from Hay House is outside of US/Canada. Hopefully it's a breeze, but if not you can usually find Hay House decks on Amazon or you can always ask your local bookshop to order it in for you!

@@Lisa_Papez apparently they have a UK site that actually does seem to ship to where i live, i just didn't notice that, oops! but it looks like it might be surprisingly affordable to buy from them as opposed to amazon, which for some reason prices shipping of Anything to here starting with 50USD, which is way too much. and then many stores just do not ship here, but such are the international struggles i suppose! i'm glad i've looked into it since it might be of great help, so thank you so much for mentioning it in the video! :]

I struggle to know how to work with the Hero's Journey Dream Oracle. I am very invested in both dreaming and the Hero's Journey -- but I don't really get how they're supposed to mesh here. Rassouli's art often seems to be not relevant to me as well, as if they took pre-existing paintings of his and shoehorned them into this deck. I want to like it, but I just don't get it.

The Hero's journey dream oracle is an amazing - the guide book!! Love Sacred traveler and Sacred destiny oracle decks by Denise Linn. And Sacred world oracle by Kris Waldherr.And Mystic sisters oracle decks by Emily Balivet. Colette Baron-Reid Oracle of the 7 when I got it was little bit disappointed. But now just skipping the guide book the cards are so lovely and full of colour and sparkle. Another one I don't see at all is The Heart Path oracle cards by Nadine Gordon-Taylor Aaaand another one The Akashic tarot by Sandra Anne-Taylor/Sharon Anne Klingler is more oracle to me than anything else.And the last goodie I have in my collection and absolutely adore is the Guardians of Wisdom by Todd Hershey/Emy Ledbetter. I can see the theme going on lol and definitely mass market buyer. That was yummy Lisa !

For the Animal Kin Oracle, yes, the box, backs of the cards, and the book are different from yours. The creator used the Kingfisher border and image as the main image now. Added the hero's journey oracle to my wishlist! 😍

I don't believe that you need to be on a budget to be going for mass market decks. The Indie deck market is a bubble waiting to burst. And Indie decks are ridiculously expensive. If I see another 'Beginner tarot decks' video recommending stupidly expensive indie decks I will need high blood pressure medication.

I completely agree - you definitely don't need to be on a budget to buy mass market... I hope that's not how I made it sound. My whole point is that there's such treasure to be found in the mass market and sometimes I think we get it in our heads that indie = better, but I've had multiple experiences where a self-published deck got so much better once it was brought to mass market and I'm excited by companies like US Games scooping up more of these from the self-published market to get them more reach!! :D And yah, some indie decks make great beginner decks if you have the interest/budget but they're not the be-all/end-all.
