Hey girl hey!! A few things of note… 1. Did watching the Met Gala feel weird to anyone else? I don’t know if it was because of the state of the world or if it was because some people were missing from the gala, but it just felt….strange.🤷🏽‍♀️ 2. I almost didn’t do the segment about the MET as I hate commenting on other peoples personal style/bodies etc . I was trying to choose my words carefully. I truly feel like EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO FEEL BEAUTIFUL!. If people love the way they show up, who am I to tell them they are wrong you know?🤷🏽‍♀️ 3. HAPPY MOTHER’s DAY TO ALL THE MOTHERS OUT THERE! You have the hardest job in the world! I’m not a mother, but it’s clear that being one can be thankless sometimes. to be honest. If you produce at cost and remove the logo, the luxury market really isn't that expensive. The mark is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact that you are *esluxs* buying an image and showing off your taste to make them think you are richer than you are is a very good thing to do

Watching your second London video. Ironic we were both there around the same time. Seems like you had more rain where you were. We stayed on Bankside near Tate Modern and had very sunny days. Hi. The Met Gala did come across a bit somber this year. I do think it is due to what is going on in the world. Kinda felt like the Hunger Games. Opulence whilst people are suffering. But I do appreciate life goes on and hopefully it brought smiles or at least provide a distraction for most. I love the dark brown dragon diffusion bag. But you can’t go wrong with either. I would love to see more summer clothes. I know New York is a little bipolar now but I bet that hot weather is right around the corner. ❤

Yes this is exactly it.😩 The Opulence and display of wealth compared to dystopian state of the world where people are dying, starving, and loosing the will to live was a tough pill for me to swallow. But as you said , life does go on and sometimes a needed distraction is neccessary in order to stay healthy. New York weather is all over the place right now🙄. However, warmer weather is on the way! I could have been in there all day! I was trying to priotize my family so I left before I was ready. The next time I go back my family may just have to wait for me at the house.😂 I asked how they deal with the rain and they said they don't mind it!😳 I guess when it's part of life you just get used to it. I asume it's similar to the humidty in the caribbean. If you live in Antigua , St. Thomas , Nevis (where my family is from) you are used to it. But since I only visit, I pass out every time. Loved that gold H&M bag. I enjoyed your blog in London. I went to London about 10 years ago and honestly I was underwhelmed by Harrods. I thought Macys back in the 70s and 80s (Hearld Square 34th street location) was better. I plan to visit next year so I’ll see if I have a change of heart. I did love Selfridges though.

Wow really? From what I remember Macys in Herald square ,before they redid it , was beautiful! I have a very clear memory of school shopping there with my grandmother in the 80's/90's. It doesn't have that classic feel anymore but I feel like Harrdos does.It also could be because Harrods was a new experince for me and I was just happy to be there.😂 I loved Selfrides too, It was just a bit crowded the day I went so I didn't get a chance to fully enjoy it.

I was just there in February and truly enjoyed my Harrods shopping experience. I ended up with some Dior, Loewe and chocolates. But, I enjoyed looking just as much as buying. I loved how everything was organized.

The longest flight I’ve taken was to Bali from NYC , which was a total of 23 hours😩 ( a layover in Qatar) So NYC to London wasn’t that bad. BUT!!…. (And it is a big BUT… 😂) You have to choose the right seats for comfort, have inflight entertainment and maybe your own snacks!😂 You can for sure handle Florida to London! I hope you get a chance to go!

Kendal Jenner was the only sister that was really on theme she did the reawakening sleeping beauty's theme that was a vintage gown that had never been on a model it was on maniquins when they launched this collection to make people concentrate on the clothes rather than the models so she was on theme ❤

Just came from Paris in April for my birthday. The first two days were beautiful and above normal temperatures. It rained the remainder of the time. I wanted so much to visit London while I was there. Even started to take the train over for the day. However the rain wouldn’t let me be great. I plan to visit Paris again and a few days in London will definitely be on the agenda. Hopefully it will be a warmer month. So people said Kim had on the sweater because of a dress malfunction.

It was my first time in London but have been to Paris many times. The combo of the two in one trip was so fun! Every time I was in Paris I ,like you, thought about hoping on the train to London. I'm glad I was able to experince both this time. We took a quick flight from London to Paris. It ended up being cheaper and faster! When I go back to London I want to go in the warmer months. I think I will like it even more. That's a good explantion for Kim having on that sweater! That would make perfect sense because she just looked uncomfortable.😳

My daughter lived in South Korea , and their subways stopped running at mid night. They started running again at five a.m. If she was out in seould she simply stayed at a friends or took a cab. And of course being young just stay out partying till the sub started running again. The subway shuts down for cleaning and maintnance. I think we would have been used to it if we did that Serena I think chooses her outfits and I think she tries too hard to be dramatic and different and it all falls short. Kim could do better half naked has been done enough already. I loved mindy kaligs gown. I'm impressed that so many actually followed the theme of this years gala.

London has had to deal with a history of terrorism. Shutting it down is part of security protocols. Also, there are Night buses that go everywhere. And….work/life balance!! The Tube is cleaner because they don’t allow trash cans because of…terrorism. Things are more spread out, people have more space to breath and even the “poor” people’s housing aka Council Housing is generally nicer.. There’s also a lot of land set aside that will never be sold to random developers. And sue to the class infrastructure a lot of property is privately owned and passed down by generation. England is old. The US is still a young country. There was a better safety system than what’s in the US (getting more eroded recently), mostly because things weren’t as thwarted due to the anti-Black racism so embedded in the US. I didn't know thats why the train shut down! Wow that makes sense! Yes, at one point we did take a night bus. I'm just not a bus person. Even when I'm here, I much rather take the train.So not having a train to take anytime I needed felt diffrent for me.NYC is VERY dependent on our train system. They shut it down at midnight a few times during the pandemic for "Extra cleaning " and everyone was confused.😂 The work/life balance bit is interesting as I'm assuming some folks work at night right? If there were no trash cans on our train platforms New Yorkers and tourist would simply throw the trash on the track. It's actaully insane! People do it now .So the fact that there are no trash cans on the tube and the train is still clean is inpressive. I have no doubt about the anti black racism embedded in the U.S. I live it everyday. It's atually appalling . However, I don't know if I could fully agree that England doesn't suffer from some of the same issues.While it may be packaged in a diffrent way, I truly believe that it is still there. ( as communicated to me by my family that has lived there thier whole life) The disrubution of wealth alone in London is reason for pause. Like you said America is a young country that came from England. We learned a few things from our big brother.😂 I do wish that we had land set asside to be passed down from generation. I can't imagine the comfort in knowing that you will always have something. Sorry for the long reply as this was all very intersiting to me! Thank you for taking the time to watch!
