Very nice! I use very similar technique with my afghan and poodles. You are right about those little balls of fur; many don't understand how HUGE tangles they can create in just a few days!

Asbeltas, where can I find a large doggyman brush for my Afghan? I can only find the medium brush online.

I got a hairdryer for my Afghan , but the air is always just like the temperature in the house , not warm . Does the air supposed to be cold?

Hissage Ho, the air from the drier should be war,. My experience says that it is better to treat the coat with warmer air for a short time than with cool for the long time. If the coat is not matted then you use warmer air, if it is you switch to the cool air until you unmatt the coat.

You have to remove the branches and similar in order not to get tangles, but brushing dry and not perfectly clean coat only destroys and split the hair.... I have 6 Afghans in coat and have only 1 grooming day in the week. Otherwise I would be a slave of grooming. :)

This is Simpsons SupaJet Dryer. It is a finishing dryer. It is important not to be too strong blowdryer.

Beautifull, but impossible to keep and "real life" guess is the reason they are not popular and no one country, is sad cause they are so beautifull , cause peaple can't keep a a colt of Yorkshire and they have a size of cat, they prefer to make puppie colt just because say ths is "lot world to keep long", afegan could be much more impossible, maybe if they are smoler at the same size of lhasa apso could be more Popular in all world for sure.

It depends on how long and thick coat is. And is it tangled or not. For this male, very hairy one I need 2,5 hours. For the other about 1 - 1,5 hour.
