I am not a native speaker so I might have some mistakes, but: “Ay anar anar, bia be balinam/ Shabnam gul-e-nar, bia be balinam” means something like “Hey pomegranate, come to my bed/ Dew on the pomegranate blossom, come to my bed”

I love this song, the singer and the band! I wish more Americans would open their hearts to world music and quit seeing only color, race or ideologies. Actually, there are many different dialects of Persian in Afghanistan. The dialect of Herat, for example, is much different from that of Kabul and is closer to the dialect of Mashhad in Iran.

That’s not true. Pashtuns have always lived in the eastern parts of the country. West has been home to Tajiks since there has been civilisation in the region. Even Ahmad shah baba spoke Farsi. I don’t think he knew how to speak Pashto loool. And Pashto has had a considerable amount of influences our language. People like you are just jealous of how much history we have in that land. There’s more Tajiks in Afghanistan than in Tajikistan so if anything they should be joining us rather than us joining them loool also there’s more than 40million Pashtuns in pakistan and only 13 million in Afghanistan so know where you belong. Next time you make such comment, think twice
