This takes me back to late teens-early 20's, best times of my life. I always found a TV sunday nights for 120 Minutes, back when Mtv actually used to be a reliable source for good music.

Back in the early 90s I had the distinct pleasure of being in the opening band for the Whigs at a show in Kansas City. Greg was one of the coolest and most personable rock stars that I've ever shared a venue with, and they stomped the joint. It was a small, intimate venue, didn't even have a stage, so the audience was right there. I should have kept the flyer from that show but it was still on the wall of our old practice space when I sold my house 2 years ago.

I hate that everybody has been so obsessed with trying to place every band or even songs within a certain genre rather than just appreciate for what it is. I think it has less to do with the music than it does with people's egos and wanting to control or feel that they are a part of the music. Stop...You're not. Just love music.

@judashippriest yeah, i was so disappointed when i finally got vh1 classic and DVR'd "120 minutes" only to find out when i watched it that it wasn't the original shows from the 90s!!!!!!! only some random videos, mostly new wave from the 80s which isn't bad but it's just not the original 120 minutes shows they used to play on MTV, wtf. it just sucks. i wonder why they try so hard to bury the good stuff????
