We do not need to give citizenship to Afghan people who are living in India. But we can accommodate them as refugees, similar to the Tibetan refugees. It is heartbreaking to see their plight. Not everyone there wanted Taliban. The Afghans living in India are not many in number and are goodwill ambassadors of our India's gestures towards the Afghan people. But we should be careful not to give them citizenship, since it is difficult to trust the psyche of people who flee war-torn countries. Sweden is a living example of this.
