i wish the marines would have a Multicam/OCP color combination in their signature digital (MARPAT) pattern. as opposed to just dessert digital and woodland digital MARPAT. their dessert marpat BDU is sticking out like a sore thumb when in green vegetation in afghanistan….

Completely disagree with this assessment, marines are taught to use the terrain to their advantage in terms of camo, MARPAT Woodland works incredibly well in arid vegetation and temperate, coniferous and select tundra biomes as well, with other applications in mountainous-arid-tundra biomes. There are instances where they are in their cammies and you can't differentiate between the stucco of the compounds they occupy, and their helmet covers, and nothing short of 150 meters is going to make them stand out against it. Marines weren't dying because of camo patterns, marines were dying because they were being sold out by the Russians and the local Afghans, to the Taliban.
