Yeah he'll probably end up selling them too in an effort to save them and himself/his wife and younger children + potential bread earners aka boys. I mean, it's horrid stuff but people lose their humanity during times of prolonged severe famine and deprivation, then you also have had the unending turmoil for decades now. Yeah, I mean, it's just screwed and the average person lacks much control or accountability over their own and loved ones' survival right now. He's making the necessary sacrifices and desperate caring parent would right now but like I said, it's not going to be a freely made choice after he's literally sacrificed everything he possibly can for his girls, it's admirable and heartbreaking as a mom. I can't imagine selling my children, my daughters, bc it'd give them a slightly better chance of survival (they were paid for so the buyer will hopefully want to ensure the life and value of his investment...) compared to remaining with their family. But it's not a black and white issue when there's material scarcity and an unstable ruthless social environment and governing force. I rush I had practical solutions for those suffering right now but unfortunately none of us do except a select few

Yeah... that’s now why Afghanistan has been an economic dumpster fire for decades. It’s because they’re set in their regressive and medieval ways, and refuse to change even the slightest bit to evolve with changing times and changing values. They still think that women are things to be traded by men, with no agency over themselves and their own lives. The men won’t tolerate birth control. The land is incapable of growing any worthwhile food crops, but is rich in minerals, but no company can go and mine there, because the tribal savages will basically slaughter anyone who works there. Trillions of dollars invested in their country and economy, infrastructure projects handed to them for free from countries around the world, including mine, India, 20 years of modernisation and allowing women to study, work and have potential for their own futures... and these people chose the Taliban over all that. At some point, you have to stop finding someone else to blame for your problems and accept that you created them all yourself.

How come those country manage to pick up and are striving in this modern world? Most of Islamic country are in misery and they have this very same pattern all around the world. Look it up. The same nations that placed these sanctions have the audacity to blame the Taliban for this mess. It's also worth noting that those nations placed these sanctions in order to protect Afghan women and children, however, these sanctions are harming everyone in Afghanistan, including women and children. These sanctions are harming the people that they're supposed to protect. They should be removed.

@@abdullahalamrikani678 In most mordern cases by the west, such as this one, Russian one, & the DPRK one the sanctions are put to punish the countries, or make it so that people don't trade with countries who are an enemy of, and are not needed economically by the country. Generating unrest, and rebel elements is one of the, if not the core reason for putting sanctions. As children, women, & men starve to death they a lot over time would turn against the Taliban, in a sheer act of desperation. As the people are dying, they realise how incompetent the Taliban is, and how detrimental their rule is to their life. Unless the Taliban makes Afghanistan self-sufficient by putting an emphasis on Agriculture over warfare, and everything else. They would slowly descend into a civil war. People cannot be always put down by fear-mongering, & intimidation. One day they make a gamble for reasons aforementioned. Well they actually won't due to China's, and Pakistan's partnership with the Taliban making the sanctions effectively ineffective. But it's still better to keep them up.

@@ipadair7345 I understand the logic, but I fully disagree with it, as I believe that sanctions should be considered a war crime. (We're literally targeting civilians in hopes of sending their people into chaos. Meaning that sanctions are placed with intention of sending non-combatants into death and destruction. Pretty sure that fits the definition of a war crime.)
