This Kar98k has a journey. It was made/born in 1935 at German weapons factory, it was used by a German soldier who used it against the Soviets in the Eastern Front, but was killed and it was captured by a Soviet soldier. After the war, in 1945, the Kar98k was locked in the weapon storage in Moscow. And somehow, during the Cold War in Middle East, Soviets supplied the weapons including the Kar98k to Urzikstan Communist Party. Later it was used by Urzikstan Liberation Army, and now the Kar98k is used by Alex.

@@touko_nanami well the rebels IRL never actually assaulted a russian airbase in Syria like this but they attacked Khmeimim AB many times with RC planes. The first attack was successful and damaged 21 aircraft on the ground but the russians countered subsequent attacks with jammers and Pantsirs .

In reality Russian did received drone swarm attack, but managed to down all 13 of them by Electronic countermeasures. I guess the game would be more realistic if the resistance take out the electronic vehicles first before launching a drone swarm

Actually laswell tasked an _"Unmarked"_ Gunship to help the rebels Means it Dosen't have any relation to any other country, Sure it's an Apache(AH-64), but that Gunship has no Military Markings Related to any nation Just like when Alex when they infiltrate that chemical factory in the first mission, they went in there under no flag To make it simple Military vehicle + No military markings from a nation = not from any country and won't escalate tensions👍 (the more you know) Politics is weird but you gotta find loop holes😂 When Alex said _"Appreciate the high heat don't be a stranger"_ it appears that the Pilot was tasked by the CIA to work Undercover as some sort of Mercenary to assist Alex. If the Pilot was caught by the Russians he has no right to say what nation tasked him to fight the Russians
