Yeah man, AFI always had the rep of being the best live band in the punk-ish scene and I remember not believing it until I saw it myself. Wasn't even big in to AFI, but goddamn, they're amazing live. Happy 4 years later!

Saw them live in Kelowna in 2000. They headlined an amazing show at Stageworks on Ellis. I was 16, went to the show against my moms wishes and had an absolute cathartic experience. We were front row, it was far too loud for the venue and I had never been sweatier and hot dog, if it wasn’t the best concert I’d ever been too, and still, have ever been too. They were touring on the Art of Drowning and it was absolutely a defining moment of my “coming of age”

+Vampiric Anemone no not really. He can't scream anymore (or like how he used to) he had few surgeries even before DU was released. That's why he might sound off in most 'newer' live shows. Davey can't sing like before :( it's sad.

Doing concerts every night or second night is going to put strain on his voice when doing a tour and therefore some performances will be a little weaker than others but there is plenty of videos of both AFI 2014 and Blaqk Audio after the release of their second album where he is singing perfectly fine and screaming. Every performer has their off days. He is one of the few bands that have been for around for that long that can still sound like they did in their early records like Black Sails in the Sunset through DU to Burials.
