@chocolateangel87433 жыл бұрын
@@user-qf1by5nl3r She's obviously gifted, but training has made her a better vocalist. She's always been able to hit higher notes (because she's a Soprano) -- but she wasn't able to consistently sustain them like she does now. One example of this is her song "Where You At?" Towards the end of the song, she is supposed to belt an A5 (almost in the Whistle register). In most of her live performances of the song, she skipped over this part or lowered the key. Now, however, she hits (and sustains) the note (and higher ones) like it's nothing.

Hey I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future.

The thing that I find so heartstopping about her delivery in this performance was not only the sheer power and talent of it, but also how much emotion she managed to evoke every time she sings the word "long". It gets stretched out more and more throughout the song, until it reaches that _insane_ stretch at the end of the song, illustrating just how long and hard that wait/struggle being sung about has lasted. The way she sings tells the story more than even the lyrics do. Chills, absolute chills.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I consider Jennifer Hudson one of the last of the greats. Jennifer Hudson reminded me so much of The LateArethaFranklin went she sings. She has anointed voice that touches your soul. She and Fantasia Bantanio touch you went they sing. They remind of Aretha, Pattie; Gladys; YOLANDA ADAMS SHIRLEY CASEAR AND I CANT FORGET MALHIA JACKSON

At 3:38 when she sings "yeaaaaah, yes it would", the hairs on my arm stand up every time! The raw power and range she has in her voice in that moment is as if she was channeling all the ancestors at once. Astonishing!

I know it's not true, but I imagine her just as she's walking on stage, every time she does one of these amazing tributes, she's thinking, "Tell me `I` can't sing! Kick ME off 7th! Watch this!" 😏

Everything about this is amazing. She doesn’t only sing, she tells the story. Also, the chord transitions at 3:01 are fantastic. Chills every time.

As a Henderson, I'll have to respectfully disagree. Jennifer is talented, yes, but all I hear in this particular performance is a lot of holler and shout. Look up Yolanda Adams version at the White House and she runs circles around JHud without being over the top. Same goes to whatever JHud did with I am Changing from Dreamgirls. Nowhere near the original from Jennifer Holiday. Sorry. To my ears, JHud is grossly overrated. She can sing, definitely, just not to the level that people want to put her in. To each their own.

@@philhenderson3516 If all you hear after watching this is hollering and screaming then you need a hearing test immediately. Dude, you have no idea what you are talking about. THIS cannot be topped by ANYbody.

My ears are fine, thank you, JHud is just not my style. And that's ok. Different strokes for different folks.

She brings tears. She's beyond amazing. She lives her songs as a singer should. No faking, showing off etc. Just pure soul ! This is why Aretha loved her. She's R E A L AND DEEPLY INTELLIGENT ❤️ she's all soul and can bring tears. This song was our childhood......
