Watching these videos of the 3-peat make you realise just how important Brad Hill was to the team. Wasn't always the best kick but his run and carry and ability to score goals was invaluable. In an ageing team, him and Smith were the sparks through midfield that had us match other teams for speed. Billy Hartung shows glimpses but doesn't really compare, and Smith can't really do it by himself. We're saying goodbye to legends now, but through the 3-peat years, I'd almost go as far as to that Brian Lake and Brad Hill were the most important players on our team, in terms of important roles.

Funny you say that as I thought Hill no loss he wants to go home and Lake yes has been missed but Hill and his speed were a reason we blitzed the middle. God I hope we can get back to that in 2018?

Michael Marshall we replaced hilly with impey! He has shown great signs last 2 weeks! And to have another jarmen at the brown and gold is just fantastic! He wont be as magical as darren but i feel he will be as good even better than hilly but was sad to loose him! Cant blame players that want to go home! I would if i played!
