So I'm playing afl 23 on ps5 everytime I try kick a goal using circle which is the goal kick button they always go out on the full why is that?

You need to release the curser in between the two lines. Those lines represent the goal posts, so it sounds like you’re letting go outside of those.

Or did you mean for set shots? Those you need to aim appropriately (allow for footedness swing and wind), and stop the second meter in or before the dark blue area.
