I'm usually a Triple M listener but Gerard Whateley (ABC) absolutely nailed it.

Still the best goal I've seen He nearly lost the ball on the 3rd bounce had to regather the ball and balance himself while running at full pace and still split the middle from the boundary from 35 meters 😐

Im a Bomber fan but, Buddy Franklin is a great forward of modern AFL today... He is a great influence for young people to pick up on... His athletic ability and sheer strength is awe-inspiring... As for you fools who think AFL is a mixture of Rugby and Gaelic football, go shove your heads where the sun don't shine... AFL is absolutely brilliant... Unlike Rugby or soccer, it is pure 360 degrees, the whole field is used. In Rugby and soccer, it's just straight up and down. I've got no quarrels w

is that why buddy had the equal most goal assists last year in the AFL when he only played 19 games? ignorant comment
@cim88812 жыл бұрын
With all due respect to Kevin Bartlett (true great of the game), His highest ever score is 8 goals once, and a few bags of 7 and everyone knows about buddy's 13. But the damning difference is that KB's ave goal/game is 1.9 vs. buddy's 3.2. Not denying KB's hunger for the ball, but buddy can very very selfish despite being one of the most exciting players in recent times....

It is thankfully true that our national sport, derived from both Gaelic football and a traditional indigenous game (rugby? check your facts), does not have players celebrating by kissing their mother for an extended period of time fully on the lips, through a galvanised steel security fence. Ah, Europe ... we have so much to learn from you, still.

rugby football was the main influence on early australian rules. this is obvious when reading descriptions of the game as it was played in the 1850s and 60s, and from the writings of the rulemakers themselves, such as tom wills, educated at rugby school. there is NO clear evidence that points to a gaelic or 'indigenous' origin. you got everything wrong.

oh no, you knowing that he kicked 13 goals in a match makes you an intelligent analyst of football.. again the fact that he has that many goal assists and score involvements proves that he is not just aware of his team mates but sets them up and assists them to score goals.. saying he kicked 13 is totally irrelevant, revealing your ignorance

OK, hallowedition oh great petty pedant (but unable to clarify WHICH rugby you meant), whatever rule-free, 500m long field, play-held-over-multiple-days chaos this great game started with, name another form of football where the players bounce the ball, kick the ball forwards to each other and be rewarded for catching it, and pass the ball by hand via a punch? Just because you used to be able to "kick for touch" in the 1960s to get a boundary throw-in does not make it the offspring of rugby union. As for Tom Wills, if his vague writings (about forming foot-ball clubs and going rifle-shooting in cricket off-seasons) gave no credit to Marn Grook, that would have NOTHING to do with the lack of respect for our indigenous people would it? His family were the victims of traumatic clashes with the locals whose land they occupied, and he killed himself following an alcoholic, mentally ill post-sport life. Reliable? P.S. Offside rules are for everyone else who wants to limit scoring.

If you don’t like the video, go elsewhere. Don't come here spreading your propaganda. You’re not welcome here, you’re a trouble maker!! p.s. Why don’t you learn how to write m8, nobody knows what the hell you write. p.p.s. Just check out our attendance records, you can only dream about getting crowds like that in your so called "World Game". We get 80,000+ people at a Home and Away game just in Victoria; take another look at your crap sport.

Bert ... for such a world-travelling sport king who seems to be proclaiming all things English, you'd have hoped to have learned the language by now. Your 'input' reads so poorly considering you are trying to be condescending, whilst typing like a small child. You choose to follows sports which can have winners who don't score a solitary goal in open play, and one which can be a try-free penalty kick contest. You must teach us how to cope with the boredom.

13 goals in one game, and i'm ignorant? Not sure if he realizes he does have team mates.
