sir I know spot rates and Forward rates. [Forward rate is for a year ONLY] [ spot rate is multiples of Forward rates ] In SECURITY VALUATION you gave an example wrt how to discount cashflows when multiple discount rates are given. There in sec.valuation for a question ,ke: 12% for 1,2 years 14% for 3,4 years... 3rd year cash flow you discount using ke for year 3 i. e 14%.. 1 time ...... AND 12% used for 2 times. WHEREAS' in spot rates You disc Year3 CF with 14% for 3years. I donk understand whether rates given in security valuation are SPOT/ FORWAR rates?
