It is God's plan that the makeover is for the widow, that is why God hardened the heart of the other landlord. God is wonderful. Thank you to Kunle Afod and the team.

This is an amazing and a fantastic innovation. Your organization needs to be sponsored. If Nigeria were a serious place, the government should have picked this up and poured funding into it. This man is changing lives by the day. Does any one have Kunle Afods contact? Our organization may provide some materials to him from overseas plus other supports.

Poor Landlords always have poor mentality. Whenever a tenant is renovating the house, the poor landlord feels intimidated and threatened.

Looking and listening carefully to how the whole interaction went, one thing is clear: Illiteracy and a big dose of miscommunication/misinformation led to the whole drama and back & forth. Welldone Egbon Kunle for the good works you’re doing. God will continue to uphold you. Please, for subsequent episodes, it would be better to confirm and clarify every little details before swinging into action. Envy, greed and selfishness has clouded a lot of people and even our present economic situation as a country has worsened things. E ku ise takun takun oh, Eledumare a maa fun yin shey.

To you and your crew Kunle, I'll advise you stick to and focus on folks in the industry you represent. It would be easier to gather information you need to execute your plans and vision regarding helping this folks. Now that you've ventured outside your scope, there would be unlimited problems that would spring up. You shouldn't forget you're dealing with Nigerians, some of those furniture you're pick up to give someone or the ones you wanna dispose, the cushion could contain a charm which the home owner had kept there for ages, or one diabolic needle. I'll advise you also inform the main owner of the property first always before taking the first step. It doesn't matter if it's not a surprise to just him/her, at least he'll be there and the end to see the new transformation and unveiling.

I totally agree with your point. Home makeover is a popular show in the US where no one conceals "charms and diabolic needles" in their furniture 😅 I was concerned that a traditional man like Baba Eda may have planted all sorts of protective "aajo" in his property which the team may have discarded unintentionally!

@adstix Exactly, there's even other shows on TLC called "My 600lb life" or "Hoarders".. Most of this folks have lived in their homes for decades and they have to give consent to everything that is to be touched in their home... I've never watched any episode of this shows that target tenants that would need authorisation from their landlords, wtf is that ???? Some folks are occupying family houses, some are owing rent, which would make the landlord raise hell the next day after transformation. Nigeria is a very funny country, the concept is doable but has to be well thought of and tailored towards recipients that would not bring any unnecessary stress...

@@unicorngav4768 Once again, I agree with you. The only thing no one in naija will reject is cash gift!

This is simple. The misunderstanding arose due to the fact that the tenants and the landlord thought AFOD INSPIRES transformed their house jist for the sake of shooting a movie there. I think they didn't know it was just a way of helping them transform their home. God bless Afod and his crew for this laudable feat😊❤

I hope the Afod Inspires team learns from this experience. Sometimes, our good intention to help can backfire! Maybe it is just better to donate furniture without painting unless the team is 100% sure about the real owner of the property in order to avoid unnecessary drama! You now see why some people remain poor and just prefer to complain and complain everyday!

Please Mr Afod, do shift the recipient destination of this largesse, in future, to within the circle of theatre artists. If you see the state of the living of where Dento passed away in, you would consider this advice. Thanks

That first family, the people there were so ungrateful and so superstitious, it's unbelievable. It was 'baba' woman yen who eventually made the difference. Nigerians find it difficult to really make an independent thinking..... o ga o. Anyway, thanks to the crew.
