What a legendary mech game to leave the fans off with! Thanks for the amazing play sOs and TY!!! It's great to see SC2 can produce such great games even if the large variety also means we get periods of short game that end in 1 push. The large map of Romanticide and its design, and TY's masterful understanding of Mech, coupled with sOs' already existing tendency to prefer running players in circles and wear them down rather than fighting head on, made for such an exciting and back and forth game. As a mech player, I will be studying that game!!! And for the ages, it will be there available to analyze for anyone learning to play. I love it, it's like culture being archived.

I hope sOs makes a comeback. He has so many builds, balls of steel and the killer instinct. I remember when he proxied herO in the Katowice finals twice with the same build. I've never seen anyone else do that in a tournament and I've watched SC2 since it came out. He doesn't play optimal meta style but he's so good that he can overcome the disadvantage that's what makes him so awesome to watch.

Yeah he's off meta but that presents a challenge when the very top players plays meta and he can't budge them. I think that's the obstacle for sos for all these years. He just comes so close to get into the absolute top tier players but just can't quite do it

Yeah, he hasn't been successful in a while, but seems to be coming back strongly. I find it sad when SoS loses, he looks like some amateur when he does, but when he wins he looks like some crazy genius.

His pvp and pvt have always been good, but still 3-0 ty is not something you can do with cheese and wierd games alone. 48:20 Absolutely astounded that TY chased sOs's stalkers across the map instead of going in and killing sOs's infra and economy. He had nothing to defend at home, there was absolutely no point in giving sOs that much time. Also questionable teleports on top of the army. Would have hoped he teleported a bit further away, preferably in the retreat path to corner the stalkers better - though one can argue sOs can dive deeper into his base.

It's the military though, that's not the first thing people think of when someone wishes another not to come back. Game 3: Fantastic game. I think TY could've taken it, but that mass BC jump onto the top right base...tasteless was right, it was a low-value target. He lost a bunch of his own bases and infrastructure after that for a single satellite base of sOs. I think TY could've utilized hellion attacks and maybe cloaked ghosts/.banshees with obs snipes?

i just want to say, stop picking apart what a player did right or wrong. there are usually very good reasons why mistakes happen on screen. it is a multitasking game. there's foresight but also past experiences that shape a person's nuances in game. there's also form and conditioning. everything shown in that final game is our ideas or playstyles multiplied by a far better player executing. this is why we watch rather than play. you'll find that when you try to execute the same things, nothing goes right on either side of the playing field, and that's also where some of our own bias and ideas take shape from. is from low level games. that's exactly what makes it annoying and absurd hearing someone backseat professional players and speak in exact hindsight to prove a point or move a personal agenda with balance whining. it was an entertaining ass game/series.

I love it when Artosis talks so highly of how "big brain" TY is and then TY underperforms and makes Artosis look bad. Kinda like that time in GSL vs The World finals where TY talked so much shit on Innovation. Hes like: why are people impressed with Innovation's play when i always beat him in practice. Then Innovation 4-0s him in the finals i wished they interviewed him that time, the humiliation LOL. that to me was the pinnacle of the terran's 4 horsemen

MMM can still beat Protos high tier units if used properly, just like how stalker beat BC if used properly. If he didn't dodge half the yamato shots with blink he would have lost, and he still had to use up like 5 times as many stalkers as BC. He was just smarter about how he used them, didn't over reach and out lasted TY in the end

They have seen zealots and stalkers perform better throughout longer games, making the game balanced in the sense that for everyone the right low-tier unit, in sufficient quantities, can destroy a higher tech army. No reason to complain anymore.

Stupid AF play in the last game from TY. He needed more tanks, planetaries, and depots sitting in front of the planetaries. The BCs need to be in the protoss base wiping cybernetics cores and gates, not playing patrol duty against nimble stalkers.

@@rain9058I've experienced what TY went through where you turtle up to BCs. You get tanks and static defence early to mid game for turtling and all is fine. Then you swap out tank supply for BCs and your expansions suddenly cannot be held by the nimble protoss gateway army. sOs expanded everywhere and stayed on gateway because he knew he could win by reinforcing instantly due to massive income. TY should've known defensive BCs can be easily avoided and have identified the sOs's strategy. Now imagine if he kept a sizeable tank force with planetaries and turrets to body block. That's the Flash style turtling, the correct way to turtle. I speak with experience as someone who made the same mistakes before. TY as a progamer should've known. It's sad to see such a skilled veteran loose like that. He was once part of KT along with Zest and Stats in team leagues destroying people left and right.

@@tankbuggeru the last game was very easily won. representation has nothing to do with balance.. you can (but wont given your mentality nothing will convince you the game isnt 100% flawless) go watch games from wings till now of every match up and you will find that to lose to a terran you basically have to play to lose, where as no matter how well you play if the z/p isnt playing to lose, then you lose because you have no answer to anything that isnt answered by what else is already out and cheaper and faster and stronger. the terran race loses in every measurable aspect of the game and has been nerfed almost every patch since the game came out because the players who play the child proofed races cant be bothered to learn or adapt, they have to be allowed to do what ever they want and still win (which is standard blizzard balance policy)
