I’ve heard Flash was back playing sc and started watching the replays on Artosis channel to figure out what was the hype all about. the main appeal compared with other newer titles is that the graphics are very simple and the developers no longer mess with the game to balance it. This and the superb casting really makes the depth of the game shine, even for someone who is new and does not play the game. Plus kinda of like with any sport, you have tons of history to learn about which adds a sense of prestige. Compared with something like league of legends, there the older matches feel like a different game because it WAS effectively a different game. Here a match from the kespa era feels dated because strategies evolved, but 4 dragoons will always oneshot a tank. Watching it live I really enjoyed how tightly knit the scene is, with the players joking with each other off match or interacting with the people in the audience afterwards. Tickets were also very cheap and easy to get, which is not always the case for foreigners in korea

1:49:25, I'm CHOOSING to believe this is senpai noticing me as the former and not the ladder. Thinking about Kickback a little more, he forgot the 2 probes to mine the patches. Set up the mind games with the scouting probe premining. One thing about Free and his army movement, it flows well, so like good for zerg. But you can see he has some Tank Trauma going on, he doesn't have the confidence needed to crack the huge, but unfortified tank positions in mid. If Free had more practice, he would remember that stasised vessel losses its 10 vision detect. So if he's doing quickdraws vs vessel emps, once he hits the stasis, that's the engagement window to jump the terran army while they only have scans for detect. Terran forced to rely on scans covering the battlefield for 50 seconds, that's about 6 scans to maintain detect during the period, not to mention whether it encompasses the units it needs to and when, THIS is how you use stasis to break Terran and their janky detect options. But you can tell Free not meant for PvT, he doesn't keep enough screen time on his patrolling goons, they eat more spidermines than all goons combined this round, and I've been told on good authority that LAN goons can just A-move across map and kill widely spread, pop-up mines w/o detect.

mistake from commentators here. The reason jyj went for a timing in the first game is because the scv got in and saw protoss went robo before range. this means range is delayed and 2 fac push is often the response. It was nothing to do with the trade at the beginning. The delay with range is what caused free to be in so much trouble
