@shaadydog13 жыл бұрын
@@needleneedle6294 Link it, the version I have seen was not impressive...The bassist doesn't harmonize well, they both drown Mike out, and the instruments do not fill the ear like this version does. You can hear a voice at the very, very end of the video say something like: “Great f*ing (?) perfect.” He knew it was flawless, but I don’t think the majority of the audience realized that they were just privy to one of the best live acoustic performances ever captured. And that is why this is, and will forever remain, an unrecognized masterpiece. I’ll digress for but a moment- There’s only three other acoustic songs that bring me to tears: REM’s Fall on Me, Pearl Jam’s Black and Nirvana’s Where Did you Sleep Last night. I put this performance along side of those. Maybe even above them given the venue. To me- what Mike and Jeff did that rainy day, is sublime. Stay safe & stay strong. Warmly, Boston

Hello Mike, my name is Albert, I live in the south of Spain. I just wanted to let you know how much your music has inspired me as a struggling musician and especially in the last year, my wife left me for another man after 8 years together, I was devastated and broke, but from viewing your videos and listening to your singing, I built up the courage to keep on gigging and started writing and managed to record my own album. Nine months after this happened, I now earn a living with regular gigs. I´m sure you have heard this story a thousand times, but you really helped me get through and I want to thank you and Jeff Hall...and all your musicians. Amazing syncronicity between you guys, most of your covers are all better than the original singers.(i bet they know that too..haha). Anyway...thanks for your voice, good luck and keep rocking. Alberto.

Every time I watch this I just laugh because it's SO FUCKING GOOD!! It's by far the best cover version of this song ever done. And the fact that it's two guys in a pizza shop makes it all the more hysterical. The best part is when they finish the song, you hear like 5 people applaud and 1 guy say "that was great" and they start to laugh. They know they just totally killed it and it's like 1 guy there appreciating it...I would have been losing my mind!! That is just a stellar performance. Love it!

scientific research has shown that people don't give a shit about live street music, they put a professional violinist in a top orchestra and put him with his expensive violin in a subway station and no one stopped to listen
@christopherantimie16137 жыл бұрын
Roland Kramer I wouldn’t call that scientific research. It’s an interesting video but it’s obviously going to be manipulated to an extent to add more drama to the scene. Also, putting someone in the subway at a busy time isn’t a very ideal place. People are busy and don’t have much time to stand around on the way to work and the like
