What an unbelievably astounding group of musicians. Ringo is a tremendous drummer, singer, and legendary person. His choice of musicians to make up the band really is " All Starr". If the millennial group would pay attention to the gift of fine music, they could actually claim they can listen.

I started looking at some of Toto's videos because a tune from the 80's suddenly came up my head, Stranger In Town" and I dig that video! (It inspired me to start learning After Effects after sitting on my computer doing nothing). Damn it was Toto! Don't recall having it in my best of Toto cd. Then I came to this video- Ringo on drums as guest - no it's his All Star Band with Toto in his band, and Billy Joel's sax player. And I vaguely remember that Togo may have been an opening band for Yes at one time. Really underrated! This band has some awesome vocals, the way The Moody Blues used to harmonize in the 70's. Great stuff!

@designerlarry8 жыл бұрын
specx2010 sure to remember Mister Mister, mister! Is he Toto's original vocalist from the studio album? What a great concept Ringo's had with bands past and present-starting with The Beatles- the ultimate. He's a Beatle, but compared to Sir Paul, he needed to have All Starr bands to attract audiences. And some of the greats like here. Doesn't look like you could go wrong with any of the lineups. And Ringo's some cool songs of his own. I don't think son Zak, when not tiring with The Who, would be on any of his All Starr bands. Ringo would feel intimidated drumming next to Zak. He picked up with Keith Moon left off

Also, of note, is the fact that Richard is singing the lead totally by himself. Kimball used to do that, WAY early on, but lately it's been double by one or more singers. Like, Kimball with Tony Spinner at one point and then Joe Williams with one of the backup singers. So that's impressive on Richard's part. Also, I'm pretty sure David Paich and Kimball sang that part in unison on the album cut but Paich decided not to do that live for whatever reason.
