The pens, pencils & erasers can be used at school. You're giving them something useful that the parents won't need to buy for them for school.

Amazingly Asmara is the city where there is only a maximum one or two murder cases or none at all, reported per year and when that happens, usually families of the victim and the offender settle it amicably outside the court of law. Police have very little work to do here as citizens are super law abiding. As a Kenyan, I'd like to visit one day.

I remember my grandfather saying that Eritreans learned Italian fluently literally in a couple of weeks...also he was in the war with Ethiopia and said there no one more noble or more brave then the Eritrean Ascari...he would rather be in a trench with 10 Ascari than a 100 northern Italians....he truly fell in love with the people land and culture and was devastated when the British took it over and had to move back to Sicily

Been about 3 times in Eritrea Asmara I am born in Addis Ababa my family they are from Eritrea . Asmera is good city but lacks a lot of stuff. Very few Hotels , limited options of restaurants seems a chronic water shortage but in all that challenges the peoples are beautiful they never complain about anything. Hope peace always brings prosperity so for peace for Ethiopia and Eritrea ❤️🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹

In the coming days after sorting out cash we helped those we could. The locals are quite generous from what we observed and help loads as well.
