We are often asked if we work on certain "types" of patients. Typically these questions refer to patients of a certain ethnicity or gender; and usually asking if we work on these types of patients really means: do you have experience working with these patients and can you show me results. And why would patients ask this? Because these "types" of patients are the ones who are known to present with certain considerations that must be taken into account when performing a hair transplant. And one type of patient we are frequently asked about in this regard are African American patients. So, do we have experience with African American patients? Are there certain things that must be taken into account when considering working with African American patients? Watch the video to hear Dr Bloxham (www.fellermedical.com) discuss a hair transplant case performed on an African American patient and what needed to be taken into consideration in order to successfully "pull off" the case.
