Believe me no white person rich or poor in this racist country we call America would claim to be black unless he was black. If the man says he is black than he is black. Black people don't even in most cases not all cases but most of the time don't want to be black sadly, although most wouldn't admit to it out right but their actions speaks volumes. No words need even be spoken there. So if that man is claiming to be African American than he is African American period. I think l made my point here, that is all that needs to be said.

He is not black, he manipulated the system to get ahead. If you look at him and can't tell he is black, he didn't struggle.

Too many stupid people like you hurt the conversation. You must not be an American. Americans know her history.

Black struggle is why his black father passed for white. There are many people who look like him who didn't pass for white. They showed courage

I guess you didn't read the book. 🤦🏾‍♀️ He was a guest speaker in an English Lit class I took many years ago. When a white student asked how he identified he said as "African American."
