His ‘interpretation’ makes the song. In 1967, I first heard this song, though poorly rendered by Primary School kids, it was always asking for more from conductors than the song sheet itself gave you. Great work to composer but apt interpretation from conductor too. The choristers did their bit under the baton ka Mzobe. Kuhle nje kuningi futhi!
