I'm so glad you uploaded today. I've had a shit day. I was called in at my job for 30 mins so my manager could basically tell me no one wants me there and I have an option to be transferred to a different store. I've never been so humiliated..I am a damn fine employee and have even been told that by the CEO but everyone at my store picks on me and makes me feel like I'm walking on eggshells every shift. I got in trouble for complimenting a coworker bc I didnt say it "right." Needless to say, I left crying and went home and told my fiance what happened while bawling my eyes out Wtf?! Sorry for the rant. I just feel awful today and your videos help me tremendously.

Wow! Really loving this series. I feel like you're the first PZ KZbinr giving Africa and it's animals proper justice. Just a suggestion and an idea when it comes to the names... Whilst I love the fact that you're giving the Afrikaans version for each enclosure, Afrikaans is very much a South African (the country) language. I'd rather go with the other African languages for each animal. Perhaps look at where the animal is most prominent or the country that is known for a specific animal and then look at the language spoken in that country. For example, Botswana has the highest elephant population and the most spoken language in Botswana is Setswana. Setswana for elephant is tlou. Sorry for the long comment but I thought it would also tell the story of each animal as well

7:14 - 7:34 It sounds like you actually had it right the first time, the north has the Sahara, which is "huge swathes of uninhabitable desert," and the Congo is actually central or west Africa. @MinutemanSam I would be surprised if BestInSlot had either purposely or accidently neglected the entire Sahara, but if he did then your analysis makes sense. Yes there is some desert in the south as well, so really I don't think having a North and South section was the way to go. His overall idea for this zoo is incredible, I do love the idea of everything split in two and then coming together in the center. I just don't think you can base your two sections on two cardinal directions for this continent; like he said, Africa has incredibly diverse biomes

Really liking the look of everything. Not sure if they changed it in the zoopedia, but the elephants need a grade 4 barrier to keep from escaping, they'll tear right through glass and chain link. Maybe do "viewing glasses" on the overlook path.

You should have a mini section called aquatic africa (maybe translate the name) and have the crocs and flamingos in that section (maybe flamingos in an outdoor pool where you can walk over and then you enter a big crocodile house where you walk through and either side there are pools for the crocs to swim in)

I can't remember if this is the dry area but if it is maybe for the elephant habitat you could have a watering hole in the center (elephants will travel massive distances in deserts to find watering sources and will always go to the same ones each year) where most of the plants are concentrated and the rest of the enclosure can have a few lonely trees and loads of rocks.

You should start popping some of the exhibit animals around the park in places. There was a gap where you places a tree just before the raised walkway and I thought it could have easily been placed there for example.

When you do the lion exhibit or in the center exhibit you should do a pride rock thing. Something similar to it

I say the next enclosure you do is the spotted hyena. You could make it super creepy and like evil. Kinda like from the lion king how they're like scars Hench man. I thought you could do it as like a under ground boat tour where the river cuts through a mountain and over the years the hyenas have inhabited it and taken it as theirs. It could be really dark and scary with red light and maybe like some dust volcanoes that spray hot dust. And while your underground you could pass by the hyenas home which is basically made out of heaps of bones of animals they have killed and eaten kinda like that dragon skeleton you showed off in one of your first work spot light videos. They could like live inside a few elephant skeletons and this cave system could be like no man's land where if you go in you'll never come our type of thing. It would be really cool and give this new feel to the boat tour. It would also be cool because even though it's quite confronting and a bit scary with all the bones of past animals it would be cool because your safe inside this little boat thats floating down the river. And as you float down these hyenas run up to the river edge and stare at you, but you know your safe. It would be really cool. Hope you maybe incorporate this idea into the park it would be much appreciated. Just thought I'd share the idea. If you do could you maybe shout me out. Nothing more but just for the idea. For a second I thought u speak Dutch lmao. "Huis" or "ui" is pretty hard to explain as someone who speaks Dutch. You should hear it. Translate onion to the Dutch translation (which is ui) and click on the audio button. That's what it sounds like and how it should be pronounced. You could also just translate house to huis and click the audio button xd
