Amazing video. Can you please explain how you come up with fills to use when you have a bassist?
@drdammypilgrims7 жыл бұрын
There are different rhythmic patterns you can do to start with when you have a bassist. The first approach is to break up your chords and play them as notes. The second approach is to mimic other rhythms played by other instrumentalists. The third approach is to build up your own improvisation skills. Thanks. D
@jonathantowel16867 жыл бұрын
Dammy Pilgrims Thanks for replying and I don't mean to push it, but how exactly do you build up improvisation skills??
@drdammypilgrims7 жыл бұрын
Building improvisation skills could be quite complex to explain in one lesson. The easy way to start is to start breaking up your chords as single notes and you can then start learning some scales and melodic patterns. Another way is through imitation and gradually you will start creating your own fills. Hope that helps. Thanks. D
