For nearly three months, the residents of Nhat Tan and Tu Lien Wards in Tay Ho District have become familiar with these scenes: foreigners with dark skin walking along the streets, eating, enjoying their free time, or taking on labor jobs such as washing dishes or carrying loads at peach and kumquat gardens.
I genuinely sympathize and empathize with their situation, having left their homeland in Africa-one of the poorest regions in the world-to come to Vietnam, yet struggling without work or the means to support themselves. I hope that my small acts of assistance, along with these real-life stories, can help them overcome this situation soon, allowing them either to return to their homeland or find stable employment in Vietnam.
