Darling Jael, your videos have inspired me and my family to move to our village home( although it's not really far from town,like 20 mins away but the serene environment is just amazing). Planning to do some very big projects here and my biggest inspiration is God and you so thank you lovely. And i also love how well you capture nature,your videos are so relaxing.

We remove the gills altogether. My mother used to always make a stew with some of the fried fish. She used sour oranges or limes to wash the fish, then seasoned them with salt and pepper. Then she dried them, dipped them in a little flour and fried them.

Jael, why should the fish be expensive at the source than Nairobi, I wonder? How has the spread of hyacinth affected fish production in HBC and neighbouring countries? Any idea? In Thailand, there is a company that has converted hyacinth into organic fertilizer. Is this something that can be done in Homa Bay ?
@jaelofthevillage11 ай бұрын
That's awesome. I heard about the hyacinth being converted to fertiliser here too. Not sure if it's real. I think most of the fish are taken to Nairobi thereby creating a shortage here.

I AM curious if you do it in your culture Because unless I'm viewing it wrong,It doesn't look like that fish been Gutted, I see the little red thing. And if you don't, please explain to me why.
