Children are blessings from God. In Zimbabwe there is a kid called Andrea who sings beautifully and had his dad board a plane for the first time through his gift. Same story with a beautiful ending. I know a plane is just a mode of transportation, but for them it actually meant a lot! Love and support your kids... You never know?

beautiful. I love playing and teaching kids chess. I taught at an inner city school where gangs and drugs dominated . I taught the kids the real rules for chess and checkers- neighborhood rules can be fun but no use in real play. Whenever I can find a teaching spot, I always keep chess/checker boards and sets on hand and will always accept challenges from students. I used to be very good, now I am just decent. But I love watching the kids who take to the game. Their eyes show lights coming on and their brains starting to move in new ways. It is a thing of beauty to watch kids begin to love learning in some form.

The TV series "Queens Gambit" is based in a book written in 1986. They just made it for TV in 2020-2021. The film is from 2016. I do not know of the producers/director of "Queens Gambit" had seen that film. But I think it was not needed to see the film, they had the book to work on.
