Salla, you asked; WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUPPER AND DINNER? : In my knowledge and understanding, the two words both mean more or less the same thing, which is the main meal of the day. Supper though generally means a main meal prepared, served and eaten at home in an informal manner, while dinner is when the meal prepared, is served and eaten in a formal manner; for example, those partaking in the meal would be expected to be dressed formally, they would sit at a formally and orderly set table, people being assigned seats at the table, and have people waiting on them, etc. --- Hope that makes sense. Just finished watching. That was great 👍 to watch.

Your video contents are always made professionally. I'm from Boston Massachusetts, USA, and we think super and dinner are the same thing. The real difference between supper and dinner is the dinner is formal, while the supper is not formal, that's all. Plus, dinner can be eaten at any time of the day, like noon, while supper is only in the evening time. You can not use plastic bags on a hot pot. I did that once, and the plastic melted onto the pan. It was hard to clean off too.

I think it all depends in what country you live in and what part of US one lives on definition of dinner and supper. We can all agree on breakfast though! 😊. When I was growing up in Michigan, we nighttime meal, supper. Now it is called lunch at midday and dinner at night. The word supper has almost disappeared for us.

Hi Salla Tourist. In the US the terms supper and dinner can refer to the evening meal. It also stems back from slavery days here. Because the slaves kept such long hours especially in the summer in the South, they would come in from the field to eat dinner say around 5 and then work till sundown and eat supper after that. By the way, in the video you cook the silverfish on rocks. What happened to your beautiful stove? Are you in the same Village?
