Self enrichment riding on the backs of the poor people whom you profess to be changing their lives to be better whilst you are dragging them into poverty, is not supposed to be honoured or celebrated. If you are a true people's leader you should be the last to take from the cookie jar. Former Uruguay president Jose is the poorest former president in the world but he uplifted his people with the contribution he made. Ibrahim Traore is working hard to drastically change his people's lives with his ideas and earning a modest salary of a captain. The foregoing deserve to be honoured and celebrated as they are for the people not for themselves. Should you be the first to take from the cookie jar, want it all fir yourself or become the richest out of office, you are no longer a leader of the people, you are the leader of your insentiable greed from your stomach and you should not be celebrated.
