Hey African Nyaco. It's a great job you are doing with the kids!❤ Don't pay attention to every comment you get. Most people don't understand the reality out there and then it can be worth eilen to try and explain. But regrettably on social media there is a lot of pure bullying. Being an intelligent person this can't be news to you. But have confidence in your self and what you are doing! Because, repeating, IT IS A GREAT JOB THAT U ARE DOING!! 👍🙌

I understand you completely my sister. No explanation needed. As one who has traveled to the remote areas of Uganda, Ethiopia, and Kenya, I know the story all too well. Keep doing what you do my sister. You've walked in the footsteps of these children and their appreciation will be expressed well into their adult years. Your harvest is endless. Much love and appreciation for you always.

Hey sis. Don't listen to the negative statements!!!!!!!!!! Walk in love and keep using the sense you have. You are a very sensible person. God has put you in the place you are, and there is a saying, "BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED". If someone doesn't like the flower, they can move on, but God made you unique and you live out who He made you to the best of your ability. It brings Him the most glory!!!! Forgive the mean ones, and move on... No one can please everyone. We love you sis!

Nyako, you are so beautiful, inside and out. You do so much with so little and God bless you for it. Only you are on the ground, living with these wonderful children, so don't pay attention to critics who don't know what they're talking about. I grew up poor in England having to share a packet of crisps or an ice cream with my sister, so I know how much your treats mean to these kids. I still remember mine after 65 years! You are God's gift to these kids and they will remember you in the future.♥♥♥

People with some historical and economical perspective shouldn't think that what you're doing is small. It's just in a different context from what they might be able to understand. Sometimes knowing your own history can give a more reasonable perspective. Eating rice porridge is not what some foreigners understand as part of our local Christmas culture. It was exotic luxury food some time ago and eating it did become an important part of culinary Joulu (Christmas) tradition. Joulu wouldn't be the same without it. I am from a Nordic county where rice cannot be successfully grown. It was an imported item. It was luxurious and expensive in the past. Nowadays its not so expensive any more. Eating rice porridge has long been a part of Finnish Christmas traditions. In the 19th century, Christmas porridge was usually made from barley, but oat and rye porridge was also eaten. Rice porridge was long only on the tables of the wealthiest and city dwellers, but as foreign import products became more common at the end of the 19th century, it quickly appeared in working-class and rural homes as well.
