Thanks for that...those are the benefits of going to school. How do you take your sister in law whose marriage was arranged? Has the husband gone for her to bring her back to your village? In our place when a bride comes in she stays indoors, in the simba, the sisters to the groom brings her warm bathing water and cook for her chicken for almost one week before she goes to the the mother in law's house to start doing things for herself.

There's a place in Eurasia that have similar cultural practices. Not quite sure if it's in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan or Tajikistan. It's a very cold region! They abduct a girl they like, and keep her then send word to her family who will come and perform the marriage rites. Thank you for letting us into your world.
