The father did not do well sha. I've heard of a family who actually threw away their sickly child like that but luckily the child got picked up by some God-fearing person. Long story short, that child became the richest and most popular person in their (real parent's ) entire generation

Regardless of his cruelty to their daughter, the mother stayed with him, then she easily allowed him in her life. He did not reap what he sowed at all. He was cruel. He only appeared to have changed because of her success. That'not sincere change.
