I have it and I agree, it doesn’t make sense for a professional. However, it makes the blow drying process easier at home for me .

Also, I don't even know how professionals even can use it! Don't y'all have to heavily sanitize stuff? How would you deep clean the inside of the wand or hose? You're not even supposed to clean the inside of the hose with water (what the manual says) , and if you use heavy products, the hose gets filled with a thin gunk of baked product buildup. For personal use, it aint no big deal, but for professional use that's unsanitary. No wayyyy that's compliant chile xD

I never thought about that ! Very good point

The thought of what could be growing in there... 🤮 I'm still contemplating getting one cause I wouldn't be using it on strangers, but I hope they, and other companies continue to work on improving & updating the design.

I have very tightly coiled 4c hair and I do not know how to use a regular blow dryer and get good blowout effect. Always a nightmare. I used the Revlon brush for a few months and led to breakage. I own the Revair and it’s fantastic! I barely use it (because even though it doesn’t feel like it could cause heat damage I’m sure it still can and I’m doing everything I can to grow my hair long) but in literally 10 minutes my hair is all stretched out and easier to style. Use it on my kids and they tolerate it no problem. So the price is steep but worth it for those who aren’t great at doing hair

This is a really great point! I love that you mentioned adding value! It's HUGE for stylists. I can do my own Revair sessions at home, but a salon blowout is entirely different and needs to be done by a professional. So well said!

I agree....it's not for a salon visit, but for me who struggles with drying the back of my hair with the traditional handheld dryer with a paddle brush. I've decided to invest in the RevAir!

Narada you nearly you almost made me catch a heart attack, cause I used mine this morning 😂 I agree though. It’s a machine better suitable for those at home. (I suck at blowouts) and not really stylists. It would probably take too long to fully sanitize between each use per customer as well, making it more hassle than it’s worth.

Love your take on this! I agree, it only does one thing, and isn't the best for stylists who want versatility, but just someone who may have trouble using a regular dryer with attachments. I own one and use it for stretching my hair on short notice. I love that i dont have to manipulate my hair as much with it, as well. Definitely a great buy for someone who wants less manipulation. Thank you for sharing! ❤❤

I have one and it’s good like you said for home use. No heat damage, sucks all the water off and gently stretches your hair. It is heavy though. If you have thick longer hair your arms will hurt. It’s expensive but had mine like two years now.
@EvelynS-xo7kj6 ай бұрын
Yes. It is heavy and cumbersome.
@alyariel9713 Жыл бұрын
I think the only stylists I've seen really benefit from the revair are ones that got injured from the normal way. They either had shoulder or wrist injury, and it was gentle for them. But I TOTALLY agree that if you're already skilled & dexterous with the brush & dryer, you don't need the revair. DeeperThanHair has been solely using the revair lately...but as much as I love that machine...I really miss watching her regular blowouts with a brush. There was something about that skill and technique that was soothing to watch.

I never used it but from what I saw and read about it, it seems to lack the flexibility that professional stylists need to work on different heads. It's heavy, bulky and you don't see what's going on, inside the vacuum. I'm waiting for the super light, transparent, cheap and available in France version lol.
@alyariel9713 Жыл бұрын
Girrrrrrl, you gonna be waiting forever and a half for that, sadly. xD They have that patent on LOCK and haven't licensed out like Dyson has. That's why there's so many cheaper dyson knockoffs now-- companies can buy the Coanda technology. Revair's like NOPE, put on its Riri voice and said "I'm gonna make you feel Like I'm the only girl in the woooorld" . ahaha

Thanks for your thoughts on this! I actually bought the revair and don’t like it at all. My ends spend the most time in the tube and ended up slightly damaged. Also I have to thoroughly detangle my hair (I have very thick medium length 4b hair) in 16 sections to get the right size for the tube and to make sure the heat is distributed to all strands equally. You also can’t use thicker butters or creams or again the hair will come out crunchy. It takes forever just to prep my hair for the revair and I will be reselling mine. Not sure why everyone loves it….I feel like the true negative reviews are being taken down 🤷🏿♀️
@EvelynS-xo7kj7 ай бұрын
For the price it would be nice if it had a diffuser option so when I wanna wear my hair curly, I can still use it. I didn’t buy it yet. Still thinking about it. I do understand that it sucks the hair in rather than blowing it dry so it’s very different from a regular blow dryer which is probably why it’s not able to diffuse.

For me the reason I want to use it is because I have carpal tunnel syndrome. Blow drying my hair with a comb attachment or with a brush causes me a lot of pain. So when I can’t get to my stylist I think it would be great. I completely agree with what ur say tho.

Yes, I agree with you. I just used mine for the first time. It is totally worth the money, fast and the time it saves me. Plus, it blows my hair out enough that I don't have to flat iron it if I don't want to or could just pull my hair up and run errands.😊 I bought it during the Black Friday 2023 deal after years of watching it.😂😂 You offer a different experience.

Thanks for being honest!!!! Anyways it’s so expensive and doesn’t even fully straighten hair unless you use an excessive amount of olive oil, or any type of hair serum to blow dry your hair

I was wondering what your thoughts were on it. I have the 1st version. I love it. Their customer service is excellent. Youre not supposed to use oils with it. It causes the plastic to crack. Even if the customer has the same tools, products and technique at home, the value in you doing their hair is that youre doing their hair!

Can you give a response from a client or home consumer's perspective. I don't think the question was asked to hear about why a stylist wouldn't use it. Is it worth people at home buying it and using it?
