Thank you for your work here. I've been exploring Afro-Latin culture & history with students, these 3 part videos has brought it all together for me.

My absolute pleasure! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I have made black history videos on a number of Latin American countries that might also be of interest. They are in the playlist 'Afro Americas'. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment! 🤗

Thank you for the information provided through the video. What books will suggest written by Afro Colombians in English that have the true stories, history, socio-political, struggles and successes of the country?

You missed out the UNESCO cultural space of the Southern Pacific and Marimba culture especially in Timbiquí. You also missed the esgrima fencing martial arts of afro-colombians from Cauca.

Hi there, thank you for watching! My videos present an informative snapshot into Afrodescendant culture in different countries, not an all-encompassing in depth analysis. But thank you for highlighting other aspects of Afro-Colombian culture, and if there are particular books, essays, videos etc you particularly recommend feel free to share links in the comments, or send via the email in the video description! Also if there are other countries you would like to see videos on not yet covered in the series then I am always open to suggestions! Best wishes and thanks again for watching.

Why a lot of Afro colombiens are surnamed Zapata ? Even Equatoriens as well ?
@ccu881 Жыл бұрын
Because zapato means shoe. Shoe = bottom level.
