Im not surprised at all, specifically because its baste records. Baste records is affiliated with Tim Pool and timcast. The entire point is to be a politically aware counter culture and a poke in the eye to the idea of "the establishment" and what better way to kick both the record industry and the US governement in the nuts then to take a culturally iconic hit song and turn it into a scathing recounting of actual doings of the current regime. Afroman being raided by feds just months before is icing, now everyone involved gets a bit of payback.
