I said it! During the competition, I noticed that anytime they spoke to the duo after their performance, Aftonita spoke for herself, instead of the two of them. I remember commenting somewhere that her handlers should tell her to use "we" and "us" instead of "I" and "me" because Abigail cannot speak for herself. I actually thought it was Aftonita's opportunity that she tagged Abigail along, not knowing it is the opposite. I now understand why it was Abigail's mom that went with them the first time. I now also understand why the video that was shown at bgt was only focused on Abigail.

I followed Abigail from the beginning of talented kids to the end of the show. I would cry every time I watched her performance. I loved her. The first time my girlfriend told me about Afronita collaborating with Abigail, I had a nad feeling and I told her that Afronita potentially could bring the girl down. I can tell you all that if Abigail had gone to BGT alone, she would have won the competition. She is too talented to be wasted. Abigail's parents should focus on their daughter's development and stop bantering with Afronita's parents. Who ever choreographed her during talented kids should continue to train her. She is a gem, please 😢

I think Abigail should have been managed by a neutral manager and not a family member. That way, they would've used the right legal procedures, sign contracts and NDAs to ensure the little girl wouldnt be taken advantage of. This behavior by Afronita and her mom is typical of what happens in Ghanaian societies, where people with disabilities are often taken advantage of. You don’t do much for people living with disabilities and treat them badly at the slightest opportunity. The Western world places significant importance on disability, which is why Abigail's story resonated strongly with them. If the situation had been handled better and Abigail had performed solo, she likely would have won the competition because her story would have had a greater impact. This whole thing was more than just dancing ability; Abigail was unfairly taken advantage of. It is wicked to take advantage of a poor child living with a disability.

Abi's dad did not get the full pic from beginning that its her child's unique talent that BGT wanted to project to the world.He was comfy with Afro being on stage with Abi which is normally considering the magnitude of the platform bt Afro is a top dancer too and her being on the platform cannot just be to accompany someone without shining too. From this interview I noticed both parties at fault. Afronita and her family saw this as an opportunity and tried to get as much out of the opportunity. To Afronita, working with Abigail was a business contract we don’t have to be friends but we can smile for the cameras and get paid! That’s why she made certain decisions which might seem unreasonable like deciding when to shoot videos etc and send a bill for expenses such as food. However Abigail’s family was looking at it like family and friends working together so they let some things slide hence they’re shocked at the way Afronita behaves. However, Afronita’s mum hmmmm I don’t even know what to say. Abigail’s dad made the right choice of allowing Afronita to travel because it will help his daughter however, I believe he could have used that opportunity in his advantage to offer his place to Afronita as an opportunity for her too but he was seeing it as family and friends.

What of the biggest downfall for us Africans and African descendants is we more tend to view things in a power struggle manner. If Abigail had entered BGT solo, she wouldn't win, and same for Afronita. The energy they produce as a duet, neither of them can produce that energy solo at this stage.
