I'm gonna be real here, this level HUMBLED the fuck out of all of us. We all thought we were on that John Wick shit until we came into this level. Literally took me 8 hours to not only complete it but stay around the 30 year range. Definitely a great game.

This game is brutal, but here are a couple things that I’ve learned the hard way that may help with steady progression. You can dodge the glowing orange attacks the same way you dodge normal ones, using the L1+direction avoid mechanic Also, your focus (L2) attacks are free combos every so often. Especially useful for boss fights. Every time you have a full focus bar every normal hit you do is wasted focus. So for sure remember to use those when you can. It procs slow-mo too which can be useful for obvious reasons Finally, when you get to a new level you may have known it saves the lowest level you got there at for you to start with every time. What you may not know is it also saves the shrine upgrades you had already gotten in the previous levels that run as well. So doing fresh runs on earlier levels and planning out upgrades can be very useful. Doubly so for grinding permanent unlocks, which are immensely useful once you find a few really good ones you like, like the stagger break L1 for example. These are important because every 9 years they lock off a tier from the bottom up, so get the early ones while you can!

There are attacks that you have to dodge in a certain direction. Like if an enemy goes for a sweep attack you'll have to hold L1 and move forward to dodge low attacks. So in my playthrough I can't just spam dodge mechanic because the stronger enemies hit me from different directions.

I have trouble parrying enemies that attack slower. I know that sounds weird but enemies with faster attacks are easier to parry because you can spam the parry button. Slower attacks require me to time parry perfectly rather than mashing lol.

You find yourself evading when your supposed to instead of mashing it, you start to memeorize enemy combos and how to defend against them, you start to learn and remember your OWN combos... @@Elegiast ive never played absolver but the game is said to be real similar to it, duh they are the same developer, and beating the game with no death is not impressive at all, after you beat the game and got the secret ending you shouldve remembered ever single attack pattern every enemy has its just muscle memory that develops super quick. lots of people claimed the game is hard and compared it to dark souls or sekiro, well those games arent hard either, its just about how many hours you wanted to put into the game, trust me theres too many no damage playthrough out there to the point where it just screams everybody can do it, bc thats just the fact, the game is short and theres not much going on for it to be a difficult game.

@@frzkhrx With that reasoning, no game can every be considered hard because it's possible to learn and memorize everything about it. Well duh, rocket science becomes easy if have a degree in it, fighting careers become easy if you've trained for it. Thing about that is, nobody is a born an Aerospace Engineer or MMA fighter. What makes a game hard (i.e. challenging) in my opinion is the commitment, skill, and willpower (and maybe some other things, idk) needed to flourish at it. But real talk, people need to stop revering Dark Souls as a difficulty setting.

​@@_zealos_8213 i get where youre coming from, what i meant is that a difficult game should be something more akin to games like Getting over it for example, yes you can be skilled but your skill wont necessarily prevents you from making grave mistakes. games like csgo, dota, rainbow six, tarkov, mordhau, the skill ceiling is high, you can be an esport level player but some cheeky guy might just pull up an unexpected play. i guess it wont be fair comparing story driven games to online competitive games but i dont necessarily consider any story driven game to be difficult for that very reason. TLDR; a story driven game is DESIGNED to be winnable and that makes it NOT Difficult

@@TMAnimate1 i think the lead up is not too bad if you charge up the blade attack on the last two mini bosses. You can 1 shot them when they are talking, just hold triangle/Y till he holds the blade up and release it 1 shot kills every non main boss (Fajar, Sean etc).

I love the how first level everyone feels like they’re the shit and then at the club they get a strong reality check😂 you’re right on par with the rest of us, although you beating Sean 1st try was good, he definitely took me a few attempts! Look for the 3 statues per area to level up before the final boss fight, 3rd statue is always right before the boss👍🏼

*Quick tip for Afro (and anyone else still learning)* Invest in unlocking the leg sweep focus move. It's a life saver for bosses, and it's also a GREAT clutch move if you get surrounded!!! Aim for the strongest enemy around you and focus sweep him. It doesn't do alot of damage, but it'll take him about 7 seconds to get back up. Instinctively you'll want to go after the person you swept, but leave him on the ground. This way you can chip away at other enemies. They will also get a very tiny stun for about 1.5 seconds after you use focus moves, allowing you to instantly jump back into offense 👍🏾 Edit: this is not a game breaking tip to make everything easy lol. It's just a tactic. In fact, there are certin enemies this wont work on. The long legged spinny-kick chicks are only down for about 2 seconds after you sweep them. So... GOOD LUCK!!!

A tip here for the low attacks, you don't need good reflexes for it because it has a tell. When Sean loads the staff onto his shoulder, he always comes in with the sweep. There's almost like 0.5s between the sweep and the load so it's really easy to dodge. Also he only does it in the start of the combo.

i'm a no sifu pro, but from someone that has beaten the game twice (including Wude), i have a few things that made the entire game a thousand times easier: 1. know what to perma unlock for future runs. even if i die before I want to, investing a lot of xp into a certain skill to permanently unlock it for future runs will ALWAYS help more than just giving up without unlocking anything at all. 2. related to the last point, unlock the sweep kick focus attack as soon as you can. this will help you out with every character and almost every boss(iykyk). you can abuse this focus attack and then use the ground pound punches to easily deal a good amount of health and structure damage to any enemy in the game. 3. learn attack patterns and how to dodge them. many of the stronger enemies show up multiple times later in the game, and learning their attack patterns make fighting them way easier. 4. finally, learn how to high and low dodge effectively. you can dodge 90% of the attacks in the game by dodging down, and the few attacks that you can't are easy to learn and watch out for. once you get this down, you can beat pretty much every boss with a couple of tries.
