🇫🇷/🇺🇸 AFS Advanced⏐Tech talk : the new PURE range 2024

The new revisions of the V2 700 & 900 foils look very well thought through, and we are looking forward to testing them out! It was a great technical talk with the team, designers, and competition riders, and especially interesting to hear what everyone's preferred foil combo is, and your reasons for each choice. Thanks for including that. We've also had a lot of fun experimenting with the different combinations of front wings and stabs, having been able to test most combinations of foil pairing so far, across a number of riders, and in a range of conditions. We are very impressed with the performance and versatility on offer. This afternoon, with the Silk 650 & Pure 145 in the long Fuselage setting, I was small-arc carving steep, but short period, messy beach break at my local spot, whereas a few days ago, with the Pure 800 & Surf 150 stab in the short Fuselage setting, I was wide-arc carve bombing it down substantial, downwind-style swell that was rolling into the beach, but forming from deeper out. Both pair-ups were 1st time experiments, and each worked flawlessly for me. Whilst these aren't the default stabs for these foils, these alternative choices offer unique advantages in different situations. The ability to experiment enables riders to tweak to their preference, their program, and the condition that they are faced with, and to do so in confidence that each variation of front wing and stab, are going to work seamlessly together. Looking forward to seeing how the Silk HA stabs pair-up with the above front wings!

Another manufacturer who has figured out the Prandtle bell curve lift distribution on hydrofoils. I personally love ie it, found out and cross posted Albion Bower's youtube research explanations to kiteforums in 2021 and made my first ones with the twist in Feb 2022.

C'est bien vos talks, par contre je n'ai vu aucun hommage rendu à Chipri qui nous a quitter et qui faisait partie de votre team. j'ai trouvé ça plutôt très moyen de votre part ... Étrange état d'esprit chez Afs...
