Been using Trigger X Slop Hopper all my life , and recently Zerek's Absolute Shrimp for catching Jack & Estuary Cod. And Rapala's came out with brilliant ideas especially just for barras, jacks , cods & tarpons. These lures works like charm in Malaysia's Mangrove rivers ! Thank y'all , mate ! Been using the double clutches for the last year or so, noticed that the trebles don't hold up to the barra, tarpon and queenies too well so swapped them out for some heavier duty Decoy trebles and works beautifully

Barambah and Nomad look to be the most innovative companies there, can't wait to try the sinking jerkbait and baby squidtrex. The new shimano flash boost as well looks great, might be a bit too much for some fish. Did you manage to get to the Daiwa stand and see any of their reels?

Couple of the Daiwa soft plastics look a dead set carbon copy of the Hurricane Spratz range. Sad to see. The Rapalas look good, will be interesting to see how they fish. Thanks for covering AFTA, appreciate the run down.

Shitmano have 2 good reels, sustain FD 4000 and Stella SW 5000. All the rest have been nothing but failures, no longevity, gear failures and bearing issues. Only 2 reels out of 14 reels have been good reels. 8 Daiwa reels bought in the late 1990 early 2000 still function well today,
