Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed is a Swedish political scientist and author of Pakistani descent. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stockholm University. He has taught at Government College University, Lahore the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Stockholm University, and the National University of Singapore.

I am amazed by listening you both, and happy to know other side of history. A suggestion for Aftab Iqbal to elaborate current scenario as demographic mapping on chart or table. Breifing countries becoming close or going away. Similarly the interests of countries as bar lines of achievement. This will be very interesting to see the comments of saleem and hani albela. I wish if you can do that as none of any channels across the world doing it. But soon you will see this pattern once you disclosed. You are doing great Job by serving Pakistani Nation. One of the best series of discussions i have ever watched. Undoubtedly, building cordial relations with India is the panacea of all ills. More importantly, as long as corruption Will not be rooted out in the country, development in all spheres of life is a far cry. very interesting discussion! The biggest problem in both countries is that most of the population is uneducated or minimally educated. The politics and religious fanaticism in both countries resides largely in rural areas and among poorly educated and they are certainly not " Roshan Khyal". That is where the politicians focus to win elections. So discussions among the educated elites does not get to the rural areas.

I have heard prof. Sb on a channel "Sarhad k uss paar" with Arvind Saharan for his 11 hour long intellectual interview and so happy that Aftab Iqbal started this series also. Personally I think if India and Pakistan develop good friendly relations after resolving their disputes then they both can emerge highly nations in world. And both countries people can flourish.

Well it's actually a quite ideal situation which neither West would want it neither China will endorse it. We like it or not we on subcontinent will always be dumb to never realise the potential this place have. India-Pakistan-Bangladesh had such a strength in numbers and can easily level resources and response issues. You can make business out of trade from both east and west. Our defence budget can be used to build infrastructure projects for each other. We like it or not we all are from same piece of cloth, our food, lifestyle, languages, taste in music is so similar. Neither Indians are from Aryan descent nor Pakistani are Turk or Persian. Both can develop kashmir as a high value tourism just like Switzerland. Possibilities are limitless!

Great initiative to especially those youngsters who have given up on the system of Pakistan. Sir I am an undergrad student studying abroad and there had been some instances when I have been ashamed of being Pakistani because of corrupt powers and system which seems irreversible. I cannot name a single thing that I saw in my life which made me proud as being a Pakistani. This corrupt politics has engulfed our nation. We do not have any moral value or value of any sort. I can feel the people hating us especially the people in the west, and this is not because they are racist, but we have actually shown how corrupt we are to them.
