IDK why this was so hard to talk about. I don't like letting people down but I really felt like I needed to make this video. See you tomorrow.

I started watching you at 12 years old {now 21}. I was a daily smoker of weed/vaping for 5 years straight. Didn't miss a day. I dont know if it was covid that did it or what it was. But about 2 -3 weeks ago you uploaded and was talking about working out and you said "its either day one or one day" and that for some reason flipped a switch in my head. I deadass stopped after that video. Threw everything out. I was never a drinker or anything along those lines, but I was a heavy smoker. You saying "day one or one day" truly changed my perspective. Anyways though. Day 17 now of being sober of everything and I can finally start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!!! Thank you again

Dude! I drank for almost 2 decades. It got so bad that I'd drink until I blacked out every time. I lost SO much during that time. God was the only one who could have helped me, and He did! This past January was 19 years sober. It may not sound like a big deal unless you knew me before, but I promise you, I was heading nowhere, and I was taking anyone who liked me enough down with me. I know exactly how Brit must have felt after y'all drank again. I haven't drank a drop since the Lord took that from me, but I've had dreams where I drank, abs it seemed so real that I would wake up feeling like all those years of sobriety went down the drain. I felt hopeless. But then I'd realize it was just a dream. And I'd thank God over and over again for taking that desire away from me. You guys got this. Just don't continue to drink. That bad feeling is the Holy Spirit trying to keep you in line. It's assurance that He's watching over you.

It can be different for everyone. For some people they are scared to get into alcohol because guess what it overpowers them and they lose control over it. The alcohol controls them instead of the other way around! If that’s the case (which 95% of the time it is) it will be bad for you. My recommendation is stay away from alcohol and replace it with something healthier!

You cant drink in moderation when you dont know what a limit... 'just one more' is just words but drinking is bad. I planned to kill myself after a drink. Then drank to forget it and plan another date. Only thing that annoys me is when he says 'it is what it is'. If i had millions id do somethin. Not drink. The title is demeaning.

You can if you want to drink in moderation! Yes you have to have that will power and mindset to do so. My mom was an alcoholic. She didn’t have the mindset. I feel like Brit and Roman are strong enough to not go back to their old ways. They clearly said they don’t drink like they were they have a couple. That’s okay. They remained sober for four years! That’s awesome!!! 👏 like I said I am proud of them both and I believe they know their limits!

There’s a difference between having an occasional drink when out in a social setting and drinking every day to get by or getting blasted every time you go out. There’s nothing wrong with drinking if you’re doing it in moderation, just like anything else in life. You’re gonna have to do a lot worse than that to let anyone down! Thank you for sharing with us and being vulnerable.

It's not bad that you drunk again, as long as you understand why you originally stopped and don't let drinking overtake and/or control your life then it's perfectly fine. I rarely ever drink, mostly just for special occasions (birthdays, weddings, or the occasional time I go out with mates) and it's perfectly fine imo. Being real about it and opening up about it is the first step to not letting it become a negative habit. Proud of you both. Love the honesty!!

I was personally a self acknowledged alcoholic and some people pointed it out so I tried to get better I tried the cold turkey method and it was and is hell but I’ve come to understand it’s ok to have a couple drinks every now and then keep your head up you are still and inspiration

Respect for the honesty Roman. As long as the drinks are not effecting your health, theres no stress. After going 4 years off it, you have shown yourself just how easy it is to live a sober lifestyle. Drinking might eventually get old again for you two, you might even have another couple years without it down the line. Its great that you have appreciated your lives sober, giving you more confidence that you do not NEED it at the end of the day. I choose not to drink myself, a healthy body is a healthy mind...

I Grew up LDS, its hammered in you as a child that drinking is terrible and makes you a terrible person. I grew up, I became who I am today because of you Roman. Drinking is not bad, having a drink to unwind, going out with friends, limit yourself and drink responsibly. I grew up in Utah.. and mormon.. I started drinking with friends and becoming myself years ago. I had to hide who I really was around my family because of how I would be judged just because I drank. January of this year I packed up all I could the dogs my wife and 6 month old kid and we moved 2000 miles away to a place we have never been and have no family or friends to start a new life. One where we wont be judged for every thing we do. There is so much more I could add to this, but you have taught me how to be myself. You videos have helped get me through some of the hardest times of my life. Thank you Roman. I have been watching for over 10 years.

Don't beat yourself up. Just know a drink or two will do. I remember when the pastor of my church visited and he drank a beer. My wife had a hard time with it secondary to her upbringing. I told her that was not out of line for a priest. I stopped cause I could not practice what I preach, 2 became 4, 4 turned into 8, 8 would turn into 16. Both my parents were alcoholics. My mother even went on 30 day dry outs is what we called them in the 60s and 70s. She would stay sober a year or two, then right back at it. Took her 4-thirty day stays over a 10 year period before she finally stopped for good. No judgment here. Appreciate the work you are doing. I've watched you since the beginning. Love you and your family. In closing, "Keep Smiling More!"

Obviously, this is not a popular opinion, but I'll be honest, this is a disappointment to me. Not that you drank, but because you're playing it off as it's no big deal. I am also LDS, have been my whole life, and I was so excited when you made your sobriety video and also learned you had joined the church. All my children (ages 5-17) watch you and were also so excited to have an uplifting family to watch, that doesn't drink. A fellow LDS family, showing the world what a family can look like in a really ugly world. My oldest told me, "Wow, can you imagine the amazing impact that Roman can have on the youth in the church and world?! He has such an amazing platform for it too!" The look on his face after watching this video was full of so much sadness. When I met my husband (21 years ago), he drank a lot. At the time, I wasn't very active in the church and drank also. Even after having our first child, we still struggled with it. After some huge trials and our marriage almost falling apart because of alcohol, we got a wake up call and stopped. We thought that because we were drinking together, it was okay. We chose to take being an eternal family seriously. My family was/is more important than a stupid drink and friends who are not an uplifting influence. I feel 100% that drinking gives Satan full power of our lives and choices. It is a tool he uses to make us think we are happier. We've been there and learned the ugly, hard way. I still love and support your family. Church is for sinners, and thankfully, because of Jesus, there is repentance. It's not my place to judge, I'm just being honest with how I feel. I just know from experience that this is not the way. I was just telling my husband a week ago that the light you guys had is gone. Around the time you guys came out with your Pray More shirts, you both radiated an undeniable light and joy... It's honestly not there anymore. I miss the Roman who radiated pure happiness. Everyone's comments that say the old Roman is back are right. I'm just really sad for you guys and your children, because I truly know what both worlds feel like. Sending you and your family all my love. ------------- I'll probably get attacked in the comments, and that's okay. I am completely okay with having a different opinion and sharing my heart and feelings openly.

Im 13 year sober 😎😎 edit* .. My first proper seeing you on youtube was when Demo was picking you guys up from the Airport, Gave you some amazing gifts, You was the first to sign the guest map thay had up on the wall. I had see you before but only in the crazy vlogs you used to do, this was first timing you being normal in conversations etc, Move forward to 2024 and here you are just being a normal experienced youtuber.. Heart worn on your sleeve and single handedly bring a sense of normality to the general public, In this day and age it shouldn't be so necessary but it is so much needed, To be shown to be seen, Put the phone down, sit a the family dining room table, Elbows off the table, mind your manors, Respect the ladies etc etc I was sectioned under the mental health act in 1983 i was 13 years old. Ive lived on the streets, kids homes, foster parents, heavily into drugs, multiple serious MH issues which i still at 52 struggle with. Covid. I lost all my support team, doctors either left, moved on etc etc. I was already a hermit at the time, But then father had a fall in kitchen then mistake from the hospital, they sent him to a nursing home, never told us, He passed away fighting to get out of bed to go to his home, that he owned outright, Hospital called it a glitch, because of my mental health, my brothers went above me as i was dads benefactor then i lost my beagle, I now go out once a month and that is only because the doctors makes me see her. I was the soul of the party life, Blackburn rave days in the late 80's. Never in, always out. Now when im trying to be polite im accused of flirting, When i open my mouth i'm a white, English, racists .. when me and dad got back intouch with one and another, i was 26 and because i was so disrupted as a child, i always fighting other children, parents was asked to remove me from lots of nurseries through my childhood, At that time in early 80's no such thing as adhd, eupd, etc etc so i was pasted all around the UK being tested for everything, because certain foods would make me hyper, So i was injected over a few months of ever additive or E number and which injection site had a raised lump meant i was allergic to it. I was 13 at this time so 1985 So being 13 and locked up with 18 plus people, i got my ass handed to me multiple times a day, until i learnt the pressure points in the body.. |Diagnosed genetic blood disorder, no cure, worn fentanyl patches nearly 12 years, had a stroke, diebetties from stopping drinking, Bro I just wanted to give you a snapshot of my life, So when i say in these chats, i respect you for how you are, I mean it from the heart. Any smile more swag in 4xl i will buy it all my friend... 🎈🎈😎😎 Sir i know you dont comment on crazy comments. Ps. Britt more practice for cleetus moms racing, that was awesome, Especially following the pit car through pit lane was Priceless x Mark.👌👌🏆🏆🏆🏆

Roman this is awesome to be this vulnerable and honest with people you have no obligation to share this with. But people that fight with sobriety don’t use this as oh I can go have a drink and be ok. Some people may be ok and able to have a drink and that’s it but there are others who you might open a door you can’t close. For those please I pray for you and hope you don’t take that drink. I’ve been clean and sober since 2019 I know life is so much better for ME to remain sober. Please don’t think I’m judging anyone but I care about anyone who has dealt with addiction directly or indirectly. I pray for all of you and your family

You guys are amazing for being willing to be so vulnerable. I love how real these videos are. 4 years of sobriety was an incredible accomplishment, but it's just as amazing to admit that you've changed from that and are having a drink every once in awhile.

Having a drink every now and then isn't a bad thing. We're all adults and sometimes you have very stressful times that you have to let loose and relax and enjoy y'all's selves from time to time. I'm not a parent or a KZbinr, but I used to be 7 days a week straight drug addicted and i still am, but maybe 2 or 3 days a week. When I don't have it I feel miserable and trade it in for a 25 oz beer just to make me feel a little energy. I'm 26 and got addicted to drugs at 18. I'm trying to get better. I'm not trying to make this about me in any way because we aren't all perfect if we were perfect every day, we wouldn't know what it was like to struggle. Love you guys and thanks for being honest and sharing your life with us that watch. #smilemore

Don’t beat yourself up. If you feel drinking becomes more trouble than a time to kick back you’ll find yourself back to sobriety. You are human and I love it that you are so open.

That’s very courageous to admit what you did. Like you said we’re human and we all make mistakes if we were perfect it would be a boring world. The only one that can judge us is the man up stairs!!! And as long as you’re drinking responsibly it is ok.

We love you Roman. As Latter-Day Saints I know we are told to follow what we call, “The word of wisdom,” and obey it because it will keep us healthy. Yes, that’s true but we also have the agency to make decisions and there is nothing wrong with having a couple of drinks and unwinding just as if you have before. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, I hate how much people judge, it is not right regardless of what people do with THEIR lives. I love the church because it brings comfort no matter what. God does not hate you. People should not judge you because you drink. You are so inspiring. I’m so thankful for share the same religion and I’m so welcomed to be motivated by you every single day.

Imma start with this I’m so proud of yall for staying sober for so long. Next is it’s completely ok to have a few drinks every once in a while with friends or on a date. It’s completely ok. Now drinking every day or constantly is a different story. I appreciate ur honesty and I hope u know it’s ok and everyone I’m sure will understand. We r all human we all make choices but yall r inspiring in so many ways and be raw and honest like yall have been is truly amazing! Much love🙏🏻

Just so you know the 2400lbs is the rating of what the door can handle as a ramp. The overall weight capacity of your trailer is much greater than that. There should be a data plate on the tongue that tells you max capacity of the trailer.

Still so very proud of y’all. Look at it this way, with being sober for so long, y’all learned to control your alcohol intake. It’s not like y’all got hammered. Ya had a few drinks like normal ppl do and had a good time with family and friends. I think that is the whole lesson to learn anyway. Moderation. Don’t be ashamed. Y’all did nothing wrong. We all still love ya guys.

Roman, I was alcohol dependent for years. Before a month ago I was sober for almost 7 years. But, a few months back my relationship broke down and I lost the love of my life and my step children, my nan had a heart attack, luckily she survived but she was poorly, my great nan was admitted to hospital then went to a care home for end of life care, someone who was like a brother to me ended his own life, he was younger than me too. Had his funeral and then the final nail in the coffin was losing my great nan and attending her funeral. At the wake I decided to have a drink, raise a glass to my Nan and just blow off some steam from the months prior and I actually needed that. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to control myself but I did. I haven't had a drink since! We are all only human and no one is perfect. Be proud of yourself for being true to who you are but never feel like you have to justify your decisions to ANYONE even yourself.

Rodman Peace brother. I was a raging alcoholic for over 30 years. I quit drinking so many times. Most fall off the wagon. The only person that it should affect is you. Who are we to make judgments. I have been sober 100% since the day I got laid off which was June 19 2019. You do you and we’ll do us. Thank you for your honesty. People should fixate on others and cause drama. Thank you and your wife for what you both contribute to all of us.

Socialising with your friends having some drinks talking about life is a good thing. I also felt bad when I ate chocolate after a year but it was all just a mental block I had. You guys are very hardworking, course your going to go out and have drinks now and then, just like your parents did, and their parents before them. It's life. Nowadays people slam those who drink and smoke. The best era was the 90s when people did what they wanted without feeling guilty all the time.

Nice to see the honesty, that's vulnerable & refreshing. We actually just started watching again & mostly for the positivity & encouragement these daily videos have been. And the family-friendly content. Also not to be critical, but it's been inspirational to be able to watch someone/a couple, that encouraged sobriety; so many struggle from past issues with alcohol & just don't have any entertainment that doesn't have alcohol involved in daily life & most social settings. Still a great daily video! Smile More 😊

Thank you for your honesty. As a person in AA, I have come to accept and understand that there are people who can consume alcohol without their life becoming completely unmanageable. I'm simply not one of those people. Be proud that you were committed to sobriety at that point and period in your life! There was obviously a reason that you felt called to abstain from alcohol and it must have served a purpose at that point in your life! It's ok if that shifts. I have always appreciated your transparency.
