I had ulnar nerve issues and could not raise my arm to hold a steering wheel let alone try to ride supercross. I had surgery and it did the trick. It does not bother me at all. Been a fan since he first turned pro. I am Blown away with what a solid man Adam has grown into. Now that the the nerve is fixed he will need to build a bigger trophy case. There will be many championships in his future

Cubits tunnel syndrome is driven by repetitive elbow flexion (bending) and typically affects people who are more lanky and more often appears in individuals with some other bony deformity such as his positive ulnar variance where the ulna is longer than the radius (two bones in forearm SML squad) and overly stresses and impacts the TFCC (triangular fibrocartilege complex- like the meniscus in your knee but also holds radius/ulna together allowing you to turn palm down and extend the wrist. The ulnar osteotomy is really common to correct this and the ulna only sees 15-20% of weight bearing whereas the radius sees the rest in order to spare the elbow hinge the stress so you can bend the elbow freely under load and rotate your forearm simultaneously. Good on ya Adam. Sorry for novel y’all, just some legit facts to give you all the knowledge. So his arm felt like he was hitting his funny bone constantly and couldn’t bend his wrist back without pain- all bad.

I mean at what point do these factory teams have to just move on from these "fast" injury prone guys ? I mean financially it's gotta make more sense for them to have a guy that will finish 5-10th and complete a whole season rather than a guy who gets two podiums but only finishes 5 rounds ...

Why is it not okay to use certain performance enhancing drugs. But it is okay to have nerves moved around and bones shorten, to enhance performance. That doesn’t make since to me?
@gambleva9773
@gambleva9773 2 жыл бұрын
Lmao he’s not enhancing performance he’s fixing a problem wtf 😂 he can’t bend his throttle wrist because bones are rubbing . Can’t feel his throttle hand because of ulnar nerve . But in your mine he “chose” to do this shit , LMAO he would not have got that shit done if he didn’t NEED to . Look at his career up until 2019 ( when these problems started ) he was KILLING IT! He didn’t do those surgeries to enhance his performance he did it so he could fix his injuries . Unlike a lot of riders who get “arm pump surgery” . You can talk about that , but don’t compare what he’s been through with his injuries to PEDs. That’s just ridiculous.
@rockybutler

@@gambleva9773 Not my point my friend, many careers have been ruined do to FIM drug regulations. Surgery is much more invasive, then taking a pill. To allow a MX career to continue. It is not like these where mandatory surgery, to repair broken bones and such. having 3 mm of bone removed, sounds performance enhancing to me. if it requires something as simple as taking a prescription drug to prolong a career. thats a big no no. That just don’t mane any sense to me…my point is if you can have corrective surgery to be competitive, one should be allowed to take any other substance to stay in the game also. I am not trying to hit on AC. Making a point how the FIM rules don’t make any sense…

@@straightnobraker4677 The hand cramp from a thumb throttle is so bad. I run twist throttle on my TRX250r, but a friend did loop the quad because he was not used to twist throttle or two stroke power bands.

Interesting thought. In motocross, the thumb is extremely important for gripping the bars. Especially in whoops. Jessy Nelson rides without a thumb, but his is on the clutch side. I'm sure someone has tried racing with a thumb throttle. 👍
