Thanks, He is one of my favorites as well, with the Rebels Quartet, The Blackwood Brothers and the Apostles. This song is also a favorite.

Wonderful Song! GREAT CHANNEL! Thanks so Much! I would like for you to put more solo singers on here (especially the female soloist that put out records between 1965 and 1975.) I like good Quartet music, but it is not my top favorite. My favorite is female vocalist on the order of Anita Bryant, etc. (i.e., that style). (I have Anita Bryant's songs. But there are many others as good and some even better than Anita Bryant in voice and in singing with deep heartfelt feeling)

Why does it sound like those notes are nearly his bottom notes. Couldn't he get lower than that when he was younger.

It sounds like he was trying to force those notes out.Kendall Kent

@@joshlester4659-he was trying to make them as loud as possible. He has an Eb1 recorded, and that seemed to be his bottom. His everyday note is probably around G1-F1

The Blackwood Bros version is actually a step lower than this.

It's the technique...he is probably not singing to the microphone tied to his mouth
