I liked that this FL acted like a real person, with issues and a past (and less of a caricature), but also that past didn’t stop her from being a happy, positive person. She and the ML were so playful and comfortable together, it was fun to watch their dynamic and interactions. And I liked how the ML made everything about her. It was whatever she wanted and could accept, he just wanted to be near her. I’m glad they tucked his backstory and how she made a difference for him in at the end. It gave him, and by extension their relationship, a nice depth to have that insight. Overall, nice little show and it was well done enough that I didn’t even mind (too much 😉) the obligatory kidnapping among everything else! 😜

I love the part when the oldest brother sits down, crosses his legs, folds his arms, and is like ‘what’s your relationship with my sister?’ to the ML. I’m so glad that he’s protective, but doesn’t jump around, yelling and bossing his way into his sister’s business. I did have a giddy giggle fit when he added that he wanted to be in on the revenge actions against the horrid adoptive family. A+++ older brother material! 🎉

Amei ver o brilho dela voltando e ela aprendendo a se defender, achei muito incrível como ela foi construindo aos poucos o relacionamento com a família biológica, os irmãos dela são maravilhosos, o irmão mais velho dela é muito lindo. In the beginning the female lead keeps making excuses for her ex. Instead of blocking his number or his friend's numbers she continues to answer him. When he goes to find her instead of leaving she waits there for him because it would be too much trouble if she didn't. Blah blah blah annoying. Also he doesn't want to tell her that her real family has been found. Why? He keeps on saying it's afraid because she will get hurt again but the truth is is he wants her to grow overly dependent on him because he is pursuing her romantically so he hides information from her and then brings it out when it suits him to make him look like a hero. It's gross. Why do people like this crap so much? And that whole scenario where he's drunk as she goes to pick him up and that other girl sitting in his lap making out with him. He apologizes and didn't know how she got in and he was out of it and not conscious and blah blah blah. Bro you said you would save yourself for her and keep yourself clean but you still happily got yourself in a position where that could happen. You're a man with wealth and power and you will get yourself in that position many times. But the female lead just giggles and kisses him on the forehead to declare sovereignty. I really like Chinese dramas. I like the over-the-top acting in the crazy plots. They're nice distraction and there are a lot of fun to watch. But I wish they wouldn't make the male lead so sketch while making it seem romantic. This whole aggressive pursuit when she's not obviously ready for a relationship and then explaining it all away as she just suddenly changes her mind or whatever. I just don't think it would take that much extra effort to write a little bit of character growth that develops the relationship more than just the male lead asserting his dominance and acting cockettishly
