For the dessert that Marco loves, it is called papaya and white fungus sweet soup, a traditional chinese dessert that are beneficial to our body, keeping us hydrated and improved our immune system. Its actually very easy to make if u can get all the ingredients!! So glad you guys enjoyed Hong Kong cuisine!!!

It makes me laugh when I saw Marco's face after trying the papaya dessert :) , it is a traditional Chinese dessert and the jelly is white fungus. All along I like Chinese dessert much more than western dessert because the ingredients are much more nutritious and healthy! This dessert is totally made from whole food!

In the dessert you tasted, it's not mushroom. It's colloquially called "snow fungus" and is a kind of edible fungi, rich in collagen. That's why you guys found it's jelly-like in feature in texture.

As a HongKonger, iam sad that you guys couldnt experience the best time of HK. Hong Kong have already changed to something else. i think some of the tourists can feel that after their trips to HongKong which were after covid. Hong Kong is not as enenergetic and fun anymore, also made some of us locals dont want to promote HongKong to forenigers no more but warn them before coming.
