I've worked with AE for decades, right from the beginning. This is a great tutorial for beginners. One suggestion, Peter. When referring to left or right sides of any App's workspace, realize that we are looking at it from the opposite angle so you would serve your students very well if you gestured left when referring to the right or vice versa. Sara Dietschy Don't be scared of it, you can make so many things with it from intros, titles, outros, puppet animations, particle effects, animated backgrounds, everything. That seems scary but look at some tutorial that looks fun, learn it have fun, then do another and another and another you'll have fun and learn what part of after effects you'll have fun and want to learn the most of.

I picked up Photoshop by playing around and experimenting, but After Effects is a totally different kettle of fish. Im always learning new things on After Effects through tutorials- I welcome another one!
